Hi everyone. I'm 8w pregnant with my third baby and would like to have a home birth. This will be my second, but the last was on the other side of the state and the midwife that attended doesn't service central. I called one from Worcester during my last pregnancy and she wanted twice as much money as the midwife I ended up using, and the way she responded when I asked about payment plans seriously rubbed me the wrong way. I would love any recommendations any of you could give.
My son was born at 42w and my labor was only two hours, so someone based in the middle of the state is seriously important.
Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy!
It looks like your post might have been missed, so I'm bumping it up for attention. Anyone have a recommendation for a midwife to share?
I've heard great things about BethAnne Moonstone, she's in Amherst. Have you found the Mass Midwives Alliance website yet? They have a locator on it, here's a link-
Good luck in your search!

Posting this a bit late, but I'm signed up with Joyce Kimball, out of Worcester, MA, and she is awesome so far! Everyone I've ever spoken with about her has nothing but praise. I connected very well with her. She has a great presence and lots of experience! Good luck to you!
Kim Bradlee is in Nor Eastern MA but might travel and is very supportive of payment issues and also was GREAT w/ my one 42 week pregnancy (first w/ her)
she travels. delivered my first 2 when we lived 8 min from her, and then my next one we were in Amherst 2 hours away. she made it out the day after a blizzard.
