I'm an Antioch alum , graduated 3 years ago. I actually commuted from Maine but am familiar with Keene. Its a great place, I can't offer specific recommendations but will say in the time I spent in Keene, there was a definite crunchy vibe. The downtown area is amazing and cute and there are tons of community things to get involved with through ANE. Amazing healthy inexpensive places to eat.

Keene is pretty close to nature, its also only a few minutes away from VT border, so as far as housing options you will have plenty of choices. What program is your dh looking at?

ANE is a good place but IMO their FA is not all it can be because they are so small. I was in the Organizational Management dept and even with a few scholarships I walked away with a lot of debt. Hopefully his dept will be generous.
