My name is Una; and I am a Norwegian photographer, artist and mama to two. I came across this forum when doing research for my latest art-project which is going to be on the subject of unschooling. And now I was hoping some of you guys could help me out with this project, which is part of a bigger body of work researching the subject of idealistic communities. Coming june I will be an artist in residence at the Bakery Photo Collective in Portland, hence situating this project to the Maine area this time.
When it comes to the practical part; I was hoping to be able to follow a few families and their communities, going to some gatherings and co-ops. It would be great if any of you had some suggestions for families that would let me document some of their unschooling days, or if there are any field trips or gathering that I could tag along on? I would also state that this is an art-project thus probably will be shown to a rather small contemporary art scene. Off course I wont publish any pictures without getting an approval from the subjects. The end result will be in the form of an exhibition and a book.
Feel free to comment his post, ask questions or send me an e-mail at email@example.com if you have any suggestions for me or would like to be part of this project. You can have a look at my previous work at my homepage www.unaline.com
Hope to hear from you son, best regards from Una
