Hi Everyone,

I am due in a few months, and have been seeing the midwife group at Swedish Covenant. I would like to hear from people who have recently given birth there, the more recent the better! They have had a lot of changes in the midwives lately (Linda and Gina are gone, Libby is now at Swedish, new are Kate and someone else, maybe?), and a couple policy changes, so I want to make sure that this is still the place I want to be.

I would like to have a natural, intervention-free, drug-free birth. Anyone have one recently at Swedish? What was your experience like? What midwife attended your birth? Are there any midwives who have made you feel uncomfortable for some reason?

Thank you in advance for your help!

As a doula I have worked with them many time and really love them. I have done a ton of deliveries with Kim and Rachel and they are both very hands off and great about respecting your wishes. I have done a few births with Libby and really enjoyed her as well. I see Sherri a lot for other things and she is very supportive of natural birth. I have yet to work with Amy, and while I hear she can be a little harsh on weight gain, I also hear wonderful things about her in the birthing room. The new midwife Katie was a student of theirs in the past I believe so it shouldn't be brand new for her. They have tubs in every room which is wonderful and the nursing staff as a whole is pretty supportive
