We recently moved to Chicago and I am looking for a pediatrician. Both of my children are on a delayed/selective vax schedule, so it would need to be someone accommodating of that. However, I also don't want someone ANTI-vax either, as we do plan to give select ones in the future.

We are in Lakeview but I would be willing to drive for someone really great.

Algonquin is an hour from you in good traffic, but Children & Teens is great! I seriously cannot sing their praises enough. Not a crunchy place at all, however the doctors do no push vax. Our doctor would lightly suggest we get some done once in a blue moon, but he never became adamant about it. We did selective vax for kindergarten.

Also, I cannot say enough positive things about the doctors! Especially Dr. Megahed! He is phenomenal! He looks to me for very little info (except where need-be) and gets down to my son's level and chats with him. He's super engaging and has a lovely way of communicating with my son. In fact, a lot of them do. One of the older female doctors literally talks in character to my son the entire time. They like their jobs and they're good at it!

When we lived on the Northside, we used Dr. Minkus with offices in Lincolnwood and Skokie. We lived further north and west than you, so for us, it was like a 15 minute drive. I miss him!
