I would like to try birthing with a midwife, rather than an ob this time around, but am having a rather difficult time finding one!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

BB, hospital or home? If hospital, you're out of luck.

For homebirth, there is one CPM in St Louis who is legal and advertising in the yellow pages, Dana. Article:

For a not-yet-certified homebirth midwife, you can come to a Friends of Missouri Midwives meeting. The next one will be the first weekend in October in Webster. There's a St. Charles group too, but I'm not sure when their next meeting is.
