I am moving to Willowbrook in a couple of weeks. I've been thinking for a long time that I would like to learn to knit. I've decided that once I move would be a really good time to give it a try since it will hopefully help me meet some new people if I can find some other knitters (and maybe have something to focus on as I grieve the loss I feel with this move). So is there anyone who would like to help a newbie get started and teach me a stitch or two? (Is 'stitch' even the right word? See how clueless I am! Let me know! Thanks!
My cousin is a knitter/spinner in Batavia. Here's her website. She's familiar with most of the local knitting/spinning/crafty groups, I think, and she's really nice! She does a great podcast.
