My housemate just found out she's having twins and is crushed that she can't go with her hospital midwives and her insurance will not support her second choice family practice Dr. Can someone recommend an OB who is not knife happy?

As a mother of twins myself (although I birthed them at home) I know that there are other midwives in the twin cities who are okay with twin birth. She would still have to birth in the OR and such, but it is an option. What insurance does she have?

She just found out today that she going to be at HCMC with their midwives. I think it's really stinky that her last miwives didn't refer her to midwives that do deliver twins but instead told her they weren't allowed to so she'd have to deliver with a doctor. Luckily she has a friend who told her otherwise and she found some that would take her and her insurace!
