My daughter is having oral surgery on friday and I need to have a physical done tomorrow before she can have surgery. This has come up rather suddenly. I know there is probably a thread or database of practitioners somewhere here but I couldn't find it at first glance and I'm working with a short window of time. Help???

A family practice or pediatrician is fine. Even if I can't get in to see someone non-vax friendly tomorrow I'd love the info for future use.

Thank you!!!

My dd goes to Teresa Reid who is now at HCMC South but with limited hours so I am not sure if she would be in/have an opening, but it's worth a try!
Honestly, as long as you are confident in your decision and show it you shouldn't have a problem. We have been to several doctors, ped gis, Children's, etc and not had any issues with being a no vax family.

I have heard positive referrals to the other peds at Hennepin Faculty Associates where Dr. Reid used to be, especially Eileen Crespo.

We use Dr Hess at Multicare associates in Roseville- she's not super crunchy or anything, but was cool with my recent homebirth, cloth diapers, and non vaxing

We see Dr. David Burnham or Dr. Prall at HealthEast Maplewood Clinic. http://www.healtheast.org/clinics/lo...maplewood.html

I used to live in Anoka and drove nearly an hour to see them because they didn't hassle me about vax or crunchy parenting. They are not anti-vax, but they do not push it if you are clear that you don't do it. When my 3rd son got Pertussis, I didn't get any crap from them because he wasn't vaxed. They were great. There was no "I told you so" lol.

Before I did homebirth, I had a natural birth in the hospital with a CNM and wanted an early discharge so I could leave right after the birth. One of their doctors came really early in the morning just to check over the newborn (per hospital rules) so we be discharged early. His usual rounds weren't until hours later.

They spend a lot of time with you and are really helpful. I've asked for alternatives to medication when my kids have been sick and they've gladly given suggestions rather than send me out with an Rx.

There are two Physician Assistants there, too, that are really good. The nurses are fantastic. My only complaint is one doctor there, I can't remember her name unfortunately, but she talks to me like I'm kindergarten or like I'm a young teen mom that has never seen a baby before in my life. She is really irritating.

Glad other moms here have suggestions, too! Hope you find one you like!
