I'm wondering if anyone out there can give me references for any OBGYN's in the twin cities area that are natural leaning (less intervention prone) and supportive of an unmedicated birth? Even better would be one that delivers at St Joseph's or Woodwinds.
I've been (happily) seeing the midwives at Healtheast but recently found out I need insulin for gestational diabetes and must move over to an OB. Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!
The only Ob-Gyn I would go to is Dr. Hartung in Hudson WI. I know he can come to Woodwinds too, but I am not sure how often he does. Amazing man.

The more you know, the worse it gets.
Sorry, I don't have a Ob-Gyn recommendation, but I wanted to say that my nurse (her name is Rose) at Woodwinds made my DS's natural birth possible. She went nose to nose with my family practice Dr., who said she was on board with my wishes but started pushing interventions very early.
DH was all set to back me up, but in reality, I think he would have buckled under the pressure if it wasn't for my nurse. If I have another hospital delivery, I would want to know for sure that I would have that kind of support there. Every woman deserves the kind of support I got with my last delivery!
