I live in the NW suburbs and am looking to find a new primary care dr. I haven't had one since my teens. I do see my ob/gyn annually and all that but for anything else it's walkin/urgent care or I don't really have a dr.
I'm having some stomach issues (had them on and off since I was a child) and figured it's probably a good time to find that primary care person as this doesn't really fit "urgent care" description knowing it will possibly take multiple appointments to get back under control. I am open to natural medicine and am considering a naturopath but have never gone that route and am not sure where to start and am leary to just google and make an appt with the first dr with a flashy website. ;) Or I'm open to a traditional MD who actually considers there is more to healing than the latest drug the big pharm is pushing.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I've not been to this clinic, but have heard wonderful things about them from my chiropractor when I asked her for recommendations for natural-minded doctors in the area.
They're in White Bear Lake, though, which might be a bit of a drive for you depending on how NW you are.
Thanks. That is further than I ideally want to drive but I will check them out and keep them in mind if I don't find anyone closer. I actually live west of Maple Grove so White Bear would be a haul but I'd still rather get a referral vs just randomly picking someone.
