I am looking to hire a photographer for my wedding on March 16th. It's a very small wedding- only 6 guests plus the two of us. Because it is going to be so intimate, and so many people important to us will not be there, we really want to have a beautiful record of the day to share with the rest of our family and friends. The photos we get from this event and how we can distribute them are very important details to us.
However, because it is such a small wedding, traditional professional photographers have 8hr minimums and other limitations that do not accommodate our needs. This is why I am looking for someone who is either starting out or willing to give a special deal to us in this off season time. The logistics are minimal. I promise, this will be one of the more low-key, light hearted weddings you have ever worked!
The ceremony and reception will be held on the Red Crag Estates in Manitou Springs. The ceremony will be out on a terrace facing pike's peak, weather permitting, or indoors in front of a little copper fireplace. The reception will be a catered dinner in a small dining room in an adjoining space. In between the two, we've set aside some time for conversation and photos of our families together.
I've outlined pricing below. Hourly pay covers a 1hr visit to the property sometime in February for you to get familiar with the lighting/setting, and 4-5 hours on March 16th for the wedding itself. We'd expect photos sometime in 6 weeks or so, and can discuss other creative services you offer and prints when we talk.
When you reply, please send us some images from your portfolio, preferably including many from one or two sessions rather than top selections across the board, as well as a short work history and personal statement of style.
Can't wait to hear from you!
- Pricing: $100/hr, $200 for digital photo rights, $50 for travel -- negotiable
