I just moved here about 2 weeks ago. I am 2 months along now and I have a 5 year old that is with his dad 1/2 the time. I don't know anyone. Anyone here from Cheyenne??
so I can tell you pretty much anything you want to know. Hit me baby!
How many weeks pg are you? I'm about ten (due April 4)...what about you?
I also have a 7 year old, 4 year old, two year old and do lots of breastfeeding support stuff here in town. We homeschool too. (Although I live in a house, so if you've found a yurt or tipi, then we don't have that in common
Hi! I live about 14 miles east of Cheyenne but I am in town quite frequently. I have to boys. DS#1 is 5.5 and DS#2 will be 4 years old on Wednesday. The LLL group in town is fantastic. I think you will find that Wyoming is quite laid back. The peds haven't given me any trouble about selective vaxing.
I live near cheyenne- actually about an hour away...we moved at the end of June
So glad to meet you! We homeschool, are against vax, cosleep and breastfeed- if only we had a yurt! Ps. If you like organic food there is a whole foods in Fort Collins, CO.
A great time to meet would be this week at LLL's Breastfeeding Cafe'. It is hosted at the hospital in Cheyenne (Auditorium A next to the cafeteria), and this is the best part...since it is during the lunchtime hour, the hospital provides sub sandwiches from Silver Mine, chips, cookies, bottled water and juice.

I'll be there.... (from noon to 1pm)...
What day is it??? That would be awesome since I only live like 3 blocks from there. LOL
Oh man! I'm such a goober! I didn't post all of the relevant info! It is every third Thursday of the month...so it was yesterday! I'm so sorry!!! It will come around again next month...but that is now four weeks away.
:
There is always LLL's other two monthly meetings... the day meeting and the night meeting. Or we could meet at the cool new library.
I'd love to meet you all, too! I spent a good part of my formative years in Cheyenne and will be moving back there in the next couple months with my kids. We're currently in Colorado Springs and will miss it greatly, but my parents are in Cheyenne and the kids will do well being so close to their grandparents, as will I.
Anyway, we've always visited Cheyenne frequently but actually living there with kids will still be new I think; meeting people and finding playmates, kid resources, etc. We won't be able to make it to the Oct LLL meeting it looks like but I look forward to meeing whoever will be at the Nov meeting!

Maybe I should start a whole new thread about this,
but finding a new ped is somethign I'm a bit nervous about. I guess I kind of assumed that they'd all be super old-school in Cheyenne, but maybe I'm underestimating them! Can you give me any names specifically of ped's who don't mind selective (or non) vaxing? And my son is isn't circumsized, anybody know if any of the Cheyenne ped's are intact-friendly?
Apparently I need to spend less time w/ my kiddos and more on mothering. I CANNOT believe I missed this thread - I KNOW two of you, and always want to meet more........
did you ladies ever hook up??? if you came to LLL or babycafe we probably met and I don't even know it, lol!
If you're like me you don't post a lot in the Tribal Areas since there are just so few of us Wyoming-ites - thought I'd hop in here and post a link to a roll call thread that was just started if you want to join in.
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
