Dear Friends of LLL Weber/Davis,

We are excited to announce that, beginning in January, there will be several new meeting times - and some canceled ones, as well. Please share this information with your friends and health care providers (we will be printing some new brochures and flyers that you can help distribute).

On the first Tuesday of each month, a Breastfeeding Cafe will be held at the Clearfield Library. This will not follow the typical meeting format. Come to have your questions answered, to get personalized breastfeeding help and to visit and chat with LLL Leaders and breastfeeding mothers. Drop in any time between 6:30 and 8 p.m. LLL Leader Sharalyn will be heading up this meeting with occasional visits from other local Leaders.

As announced earlier, our new Extended Nursing Meeting (Breastfeeding Beyond One) started in December on the first Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the Methodist Church* in Marriott-Slaterville (just 2 miles north of 12th Street and west of Business Depot Ogden). This meeting will typically be led by LLL Leaders Angie and Rachel.

On the third Thursday of the month, several things are happening:

1. A new Series** Meeting in Farmington in the evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. held at the Farmington LDS Church* in the nursery (272 North Main Street, Farmington). This meeting will be led by LLL Leaders Elizabeth and Celestia. Elizabeth has started a twitter feed & Facebook fan page for the group for our tech-savvy mothers to get updated information and reminders. She also started a blog: http://www.lllfarmington.blogspot.com/ (If you are on facebook and twitter you can find the links on there).
2. The afternoon (4:30 p.m.) Layton meeting is being discontinued.
3. Another new Series** Meeting will begin in South Ogden at the Pleasant Valley Branch of the Weber County Library. This meeting will be held on a trial basis for one series (four months), so give us your support if you'd like to see it continue. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will be led primarily by LLL Leaders KeeNan and Sally. The library has a cafe that is open until 8:30 for mothers who would like a refreshment or to visit with friends from the meeting. The library is located across the street from Ogden Regional Medical Center.

The Downtown Ogden LLL Group will continue to meet on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd (2374 Grant Ave). This meeting is led by LLL Leaders Erica and Reagan.

The Enrichment Meeting will also continue to meet on the fourth Thursday of each month at 11 a.m. This meeting is a chance to discuss topics of interest to mothers outside of basic breastfeeding information. If you have a topic to suggest, please let us know. It is held at the Methodist Church in Marriott-Slaterville.

It is our hope to reach and provide breastfeeding information and support to many more mothers, so we hope you will give us your support for these new meetings either by attending or by spreading the word to health care providers and friends.

Have a Happy New Year!!

* Please note that La Leche League is non-sectarian. We appreciate the opportunity to use local church facilities but do not endorse a particular religion.

** A "Series Meeting" is the basic format of La Leche League meetings led by LLL Leaders. A series of four general topics is repeated every four months. It is intended to meet the needs of the new mother.
