I have a neighbor looking for a homebirth midwife. She doesn't care about
certifications and licensing as much as just getting someone with lots of
experience. She's in Lehi, Utah, and would love someone that would come to her home
for prenatals, but doesn't mind traveling just a little, too.

Anyone have any recommendations??

Have her look up Cathy Larson. She's my midwife and I love her! She lives in South Jordan and comes up to Salt Lake city for all my prenatals, so I'm sure Lehi isn't too far (closer to S.Jordan than SLC). She IS certified, mostly because she had to be to work at the birth center she started at, but also trained as a doula before becoming a midwife.


I found Cathy on facebook, but if your neighbor is interested, I can track down her number and PM it to you.

Sherri Price is great. She's very talented and does homebirths or offers the option of birthing in this amazing little Victorian...she's located in Pleasant Grove you can PM me if you would like her contact info!

There are a lot of wonderful midwives in Utah. It all depends on what type of person you mesh well with. I used the Better Birth Midwives and had a great experience but if you want some other options let me know!
