I just moved to pasadena 2 months ago and found out today that i'm expecting #2:) but i havent found a doc yet.  i really loved my past doc and the birthing center that i delivered my son in.

any great doctors or midwives who support and encourage natural birth? i am actually a little scared about giving birth in a regular hospital so i am looking for a doctor who will stand by my preferences 100%

are they out there?  good and bad experiences welcome(so i know who not to go to)

thank you!

I can't seem to find any midwives around here that deliver in a hospital.  I am near Pasadena, not in.  But, I had Dr. Joana Tamayo located in Glendale, right off the highway so easy access from Pasadena.  She allowed for me to have a natural birth in the hospital, caring OB though the office follows all routine medical stuff.  I highly recommend her.  I delivered at Verdugo Hills Hospital but it was horrible.  The nurses I had were just terrible and made for an awful experience.  I know Tamayo goes to Glendale Adventist, not sure if she goes to the Huntington.  I know, not much help.  I am looking for a new OB right now that takes Medi-Cal. Tamayo does not.  :(  So sad.

can you tell me what you liked about tamayo or what was important for you during your prenatal and birth time?  do you know if the babies can stay with you at glendale adventist?
