Hi all, I just moved to Ramona and I'm trying to figure out our new food sources.

Going to sign up for a local CSA and I'm super excited about that. But I'm wondering if anyone knows any good organic/health food stores local to Ramona. In particular, I'm looking for a place with bins of bulk foods, and a large selection and good prices. Where I can get things like tamari, and nutritional yeast. You know. orngtongue.gif

Visited Ramona Family Naturals the other day, and I'm glad to have that as an option, but it's a tiny mom-n-pop place with a small selection and very high prices. So I'm looking for a better option for our big grocery shopping trips.

Any suggestions?

There are Sprout's markets in Poway and Escondido, a Barons Market in Rancho Bernardo, and Jimbo's Naturally in 4S Ranch and Escondido.  :)  I know those aren't Ramona, but I'm not surprised that Ramona doesn't have those stores.

Thank you!!!

Yes, I'm not used to small town life yet, obviously--having to drive to find these sorts of things. orngbiggrin.gif

I will be checking out all the places you listed!

Ramona is definitely different!  :)  Make sure to check out the many farmers' markets in San Diego County too.  There is one at the Bernardo Winery, just a couple of miles from Baron's market, on Friday mornings.  That one's my favorite because of the beautiful setting!
