My son is 18 months old and we'll be spending a couple weeks visiting family in Los Angeles over the holidays. I've done a search for best playgrounds (Griffin Park was highly recommended), but am looking for further recommendations for things to do with him. What's your favorite playground? Are there any restaurants / cafes with a kid play area? Other things to do with toddlers?

Do you know what part of LA you will be in?  "LA" is huge lol.  I'm from here, so I'd like to help you out with ideas. :)

There are tons of things! But what part of LA, and how old is your little one? Right now there's an ice skating rink in pershing square downtown! That could be fun.  And there was a parade in one of the outer cities.  I think there's a city calendar online somewhere, you should look for that.  Also, Griffith park is awesome.  I did an AIDS walk there once and have gone on a few hikes.  Be weary of the weekends, it gets packed by the observatory.
