Sounds great! Is there a particular place you want to meet at the park? I'm not too familiar with it since my husband and I usually go out to Consumnes River Preserve.

Hi there,
I know you don't know me (I posted earlier in this thread) but I live pretty close to Land Park and depending on what my life is doing that day, I might be able to join in with one of my kids. We're in the midst of moving cross-country, so I'm not making any definite plans right now.

Lousli sorry that you can't make it today but hopefully we can meet up again soon.

Thursday works for me too, so let's meet Thursday at 9:30am or 10:00am? Also if you want the pool area opens at 11:00am so you can bring a bathing suit and swim dipe and they can go in there. I do have to warn that the water is cold so you may not want to do that. Just wanted to put that out there.

Kim have you ever gone to concert in the park on Friday nights? We could meet up there, or we could meet Saturday morning at the Davis farmers market.

Catnip, my daughter wakes up at 6:00am promptly every morning, so by 9-10am we are ready to go! It is an adjustment....

M, I'll see you on Thursday morning for sure, 9:30-10am sounds great. Can't do concert in the park this week, but yes on the Farmers market on Sat. The past two weekends we have been out there, and my husband does the shopping while I push DD in the stroller. We finally found a place in Davis, and will be moving there in Sept. I am excited.

Hopefully more moms can meet us at the Farmers market this Saturday?

OMG, I LOVE the Davis farmers market! I have only been a couple of Wednesdays in the winter and today was so different.

I got eggs, tomatoes, tortillas that I normally get at the co-op but for less $$, and a scrumptious pastry with Scharffenberger chocolate.

YUM.

This is not to say that I won't continue my normal trips to the Sunday farmers market but I am definately going to make it a point to go more often.

Ginger,

Sacramento has a ton of pools, although I've never been to any of them as my apartment has two.

Here is a link to all of the ones ran by the city: http://www.cityofsacramento.org/park...tics/pools.htm

Yeah, we do breakfast at Fox and Goose, the farmer's market and Southside Park almost every week, but Davis has a higher percentage of organics.
Last week I got a whole bunch of organic raspberries and made a batch of jam. (I've got 42 pints put up: strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, boysenberry and apricot. I've still got a bunch of pluots in the freezer that I'm going to deal with later)

I have to agree with Regina that it is nice to see a long Sacramento thread...

I don't get to farmer's markets enough, unfortunately. But I am inspired by your posts! Especially inspired by thoughts of all those jars of preserves put up! We have the neighbor's blackberry forest to pick from and we eat all we want, but I don't have the energy to can them! LOL.

I am masters' student at CSUS, with a 7 year old son, and next year he begins 1st grade at Golden Valley Waldorf Methods Charter School. He went to SJUSD kinder and 1st. I'd love to hear from any of you with experience at this school. Where should I put my energies?
