Any thoughts? What are you doing about it? If you are working on Fridays, what are the kids doing? Just curious! I'm on Maui, and making do...

I don't work but I have friends who are pooling so a group of parents rotate who takes off the Friday so you don't have to do it as often.

Another SAHM I know is turning into 'beach fridays'

I'm interested to know if people think the court case will overturn it?

We just hung out and played all day last Friday. They did get a packet of work from school, so just took the weekend to do it. This Friday is a Halloween party and probably a haunted house somewhere. I'm hoping to get them to Bishop, etc after this weekend.

My kids have conferences this week too, so it's been a super short week. They get out at 1220 all week plus no Friday.

Last Friday we hung out as a family, and I had an ultrasound appointment (impromptu science lesson?). I'm hoping to use the Furlough Fridays as a semi-educational day on our own. She's a Junior Girl Scout this year, so I'm thinking of maybe working on some badges with her in the down time. As the leader I've suggested it to the rest of her troop too, but I don't know if they'll do it, too.

Angie, proud Army wife to Dan, mom to Kat (4/00) and Gracie (11/09)!!
