I am an apprentice Midwife in Hawaii, where we are currently facing an ominous bill that would move us from an a-legal state, to one that criminalizes midwifery. I've seen the statutes governing midwifery practice in Alaska:

and I marvel at their inclusivity. Can anyone give me the scoop on how this actually functions?
Are midwives busy there? Are all respected in their care, or are some maligned while others enjoy greater respect? Is there cooperation amongst midwives of different backgrounds?
