I just registered over the phone with the Kitchener-Waterloo Midwifery Associates.
I've had two phone "conversations" with the administrative person, and neither have been ... well, they haven't been very midwife-y. Very rushed, very "No, you can't talk to a midwife," very "No, we can't answer your questions. You can find your answers on the midwifery Web site." Terse, rushed, impersonal.
I like to think this is just the personality of the particular woman I spoke with, and that the midwives are just like every other midwife I've met - caring, personal people who want so badly to help you have the birth you want. But I'm trying to make sure. (I live in a different province now; can't just pop by and say howdy.)
Have any of you had any experience with this midwifery practice?
