I will be in Vancouver for a short visit May 5-10 and am looking for cheap, fun things to do with my 4 yr old.
I have been to Stanley Park and BC Aquarium before, so I will try to fit those things into my visit.
What else do you recommend for family fun? Also include family-friendly places to eat.
I am curious about whether a visit to Buchard Gardens in Victoria is feasible. How much does it cost to go by city coach bus?
How long would it take to drive to Victoria by car? If it is day-trip material, I would love to eat at Rebar veggie restaurant.
Thanks in advance for your help!
We love to visit Granville Island, where there is a market, lots of artists, a kid's market and a nice playground. The shops are mostly pretty expensive but we love to look around and get a bite to eat, and listen to some street music.
For Victoria, you could take a greyhound, or go by public transit. If you drive or take transit you would need to go to tsawassen and take the ferry. Getting to tsawassen can take 30 minutes to an hour depending on traffic, and then the ferry is about 90 minutes. Maybe a Victoria mama can answer more about your options once you get to victoria. It could be done as a day trip, but it would be quite a long day with probably 6 hours of travel.
There are so many nice places to eat - what type of food do you like? What neighbourhood will you be staying in?
