Okay I can do sprinkles !!

Elm- careful girl!

Eman- You so do not need a birth center ! ! But me as your midwife, I could get into that I just found C's 1 year pics. She soooo reminded me of M right now. They are so dang cute.

So I contacted a faculty person at UNM and am going to meet with her in the next month. Still not sure how it will go, they dont have part time options for the CNM program.

And whats up with this weather :

It's actually three times in three weeks. Every Saturday. It's an easy and fun way for me to get excersize. Which I need. And the kids love going hiking. Next week though I'm not climbing a mountian. My butt still hurts.

Meeting at S's school today. And so it begins!

I know my in-laws have a vcr/dvd player all in one type thing. It'd probably be cheaper to buy that than to pay the prices.

Here's what you do, you bring your camcorder with it's connector wires (the white/red/yellow ones) to my house, you plug it into our dvd player burner and voila, a dvd of your kids. Or if your computer has a DVD burner you should be able to do the same thing.

Hi all,
I'm popping in to ask about dentists. I'm sure you've answered the question many times b4, but who does everyone use? I need someone who takes medicaid- Lubar doesn't and Tasker isn't taking new patients.

Any suggestions? TIA and hope you are all doing well. Maybe we'll see you at Los Ranchos sometime

mamazales - I just called Tasker's office (we just saw him this AM, and I need to call anyways), and they ARE taking new patients. Let me know if they say otherwise, and I'll see if I can get them to let you in. If not, I can tell you several of the dentists to avoid....

ASF, our camcorder is older than yours and we've done it no problem, the only thing is you have to play it in real time so if you have 4 hours of video it takes 4 hours + "finalizing" time. It's easy just not fast.

20Almonds, I'd go with Blue rec, we travel far out of town and our guy doesn't take medicaid, or really any insurance for that matter.

I called Tasker on Friday and they were all ready to set up an appt until I told them it would be Medicaid If you could pm some definite no's, that'd give me at least a place to start.

I kind of burned the bridge with the place we were going b/c I walked out when they got all bossy and tried to bully me into getting xrays for dd1

I want to try a new recipe, so i'll bring cupcakes for something a little different to put sprinkles on

I'll also try to drum up something savory as a snack to help counteract the sugar

twenty - Bummer If you don't mind me trying, I'll see if I can persuade them to let you in. I'll PM you the folks to avoid. When we searched around we had the same issues of insurance & not taking new patients also.

Hey if you are doing that Blue, talk to me if you get somewhere.

I have appts with the kids at Rainbow. Any opinion on that one? COuldnt get into anything else with United.

Jacked up day at work. Two moms complete at the same time. Almost caught one but she could refrain from pushing with out trying, doc got there and one push and it was out. Other one at the same time complete and refusing to push... unmedicated. How that is possible I will never understand. AND.. my pregnant midwife friend admitted for the flu and dehydration.

Cards Ok I think I have enough for R.

ASF, you are aware it's Friday and the big kids will be there right? Just want to make sure you're aware. I'm trying to crochet scrubbies for the kitchen and make recycled pants for M out of wool sweaters (I bought when PG before even finding out the sex). I feel all itchy from both. PS once I make the pants I'm going to need to figure out the whole wool wash/lanolin thing.

Doularn - sorry about your friend

ASF - we won't be there until somewhere between 1 and 2. I've lost count of who's bringin what. . should I bring cookies or something to counteract the cookies?

Emans - Do you have any lanolin for BFing? I just take a pea size glob and put it in like a cup of water in a glass jar with a lid. Put it in the microwave until warm, to melt the lanonlin, then put the lid on and shake really hard. You want the lanonlin all dispursed in the water. Then let the water cool (don't want to shrink your wool!) and soak the wool in it. You'll probably need to add more water at that point, but that's ok.

yup - i know the big kids will be here - that is why dh has to be gone our group of kids is LOUD. also, that iw why i figured we could start later since we can go later. dh is supposed to have class till 4 so he will be outta the house all day

I think probably 2 people for cookies should be enough but i am not sure who all is bringing what

I will have bread/meat/cheese/lettuce/tomato
emans is bringing cookies and a fruit or veggie
elm is bringing frosting and i cant remember if anything else
doularn is sprinkles and i cant remember what else
blue - cupcakes and something else

so i think we need one more person bringing cookies depending on how many emans is making and drinks if we want anything but water and any other non sugar stuff like chips/dip pasta salad etc

Drinks really Is it going to be that kind of party, with the number of kids that will be there we might just need something

Crazy, thanks I do have some left over from the hospital with E, does the stuff keep that long? I've been using it over the years when the kids get sick on their noses to help prevent chapping.

I can bring more cookies and I'll ask my friend to bring something like chips/dip or salad. I also have some pink and purple sprinkles. Can't have too many sprinkles, right?

Dh had his second interview with Colo Springs job today. It went well. Still no word from Chicago (I'm not crazy about moving there anyway.) No word from a couple of jobs here. But, we had enough to pay rent this month and cover our other expenses!! Yay! Still can't get the unemployment thing worked out. Apparently they transposed his first and last name on the ss# check and now won't release the funds. They're supposed to have it fixed this week. Ugh.

emans - ohhhh girl you know how i looooove bargain hunting!

and hey, beer or wine or margaritas would make it more fun...

also, i have used the lanolin but i find it more fun to get all crazy with the scented lanolin bar washes and the scented lanolin too. But that is cuz i am crazy like that

comommy - i am still hoping things here turn up for yall - we like you and dont want you to move

dd made me put up streamers tonight so we will have ghetto festive for the party :

so i know crazy and emans both have info on the diva cup type thing - quit holding out on me! help a sister out!

dd tried a hip hop class today and was NOT impressed. I also was not impressed by the teachers. I know i am critical being a teacher but really they were lacking.

I used a diva cup for years. What do you want to know? Here's the spot on the web for store locations.Whole Foods, La Montanita, Vitmin Cottage should have them or you can order over the net.
