The Santa Fe Children's Museum is nice, it's like Explora but MUCH smaller, nice though. I don't think I go just for that, maybe an outlet mall run then the museum.

Day two of the soccer tourny.

Doularn - Thanks for the info on the bed! We'll have to check out USA Baby. I'm doing some searching on the internet. We may end up trying to make our own.

Twenty Almonds - Have fun at the SF museums!

Sounds like we may have to check out John McCutcheon next time he's in town! H loves music.

I thought the purpose of South Beach was that you weren't hungry? It only took me about 2-3 months before I wasn't hungry all the time.

So I never got a chance to tell my mother that I felt she had too much going on in her life right now for me to fly back with the kids. She has decided she'd rather fly out here with her high school exchange student I told her I didn't know if that would work but I'd discuss it with D. Huh, that woman just stresses me out.

We took the railrunner up to Santa Fe on Saturday. Cold outside but fun! We ate at our favorite (aka the only restaurant we've tried and they have a killer turkey burger and since I can eat exactly nothing at restaurants I am a devoted fan even though our waiter took our order and disappeared for 35 minutes and we had to badger him for a water refill) diner and enjoyed all the people in the square.

I haven't looked at what bus connects to the Children's Museum yet.

Peacelove we bought a bunk bed/loft bed blueprint for $5 on the internet six years ago and M made one. It's seriously heavy duty, rather industrial looking and it's going to last forever. We've had it as a loft bed with a slide, as bunk beds, and now it's a rather high trundle since we trimmed the legs. We used the same blueprint to make a matching standalone twin bed when J outgrew bunk/lofts.

I have been dying to get out to playgroups with the kids but one or the other of us (and lately, always ME) has just been too sick. There's the plain sniffles which are fine but there's something more to this one, my throat and ears have hurt for so long I don't remember what pain free is like, and the doctors just say "viral."

We are six: Me : Dh : Ds1('00) Dd('02) Ds2('05) Ds3('08) and, wow! Soon to be seven, Dd2 due 4/23.

we did make it to sf and the girls had a blast. I Nearly approached two separate woman at the children's museum to inquire about their identity, but didn't Glad neither one was you doularn

Does the train end up at the railyard? Is there shuttle service to the plaza or anything? We took it a few months ago to Bernalillo and then walked to the flying star, which was fun. I think a railrunner trip to sf is definitely in our future after we figure out the logistics of getting around.

I'm down for a Railrunner trip if husbands can come along too. Dh has been dying to take the kids up to SF on the train.

Yesterday we went hiking and Little S puked on the trail. He seems fine so we think it might have been a touch of motion sickness (he was in the pack.)

Doularn, sorry you're hungry. I hate diets. Also, C left her sweater in my car.

Okay so we were going to ride bikes today at the bosque and C got another fever. Day 4, her ears look fine to me but she said her mouth hurt and her stomach. I didn't see any blisters (fear of Coxsackies) and now wonder if she had a UTI. So we have a 7pm appt. She's fine when I break down and give her tylenol and it takes effect. I have givenher one dose a day since Friday since I wanted her to shake it but didn't want to spend my whole weekend off with a miserable child.

Sorry Twenty....

I have a headache....

Doularn, has she ever had roseola? That's what DS had and the typical symptoms are 3-4 days of a high fever (can be off an on) with little other symptoms, and then the rash comes as the fever breaks. DD had it when she was nearly 2 and it was a lot like it sounds like what C is going through. I do know that it gave her some nausea and irritability, too. There's no way to know what is going on until the rash appears.

rach - that sucks

we spoiled ourselves for a late bday-vday sorta thing tonight. Sunflower has lobster, artichoke, strawberries and pineapple on sale. So we had lobster and artichoke for dinner and made fondue for dessert and dipped strawberries, pineapple, and banana in it. :

YUM ASF- I was thinking of fondue this weekend too.

Just booked flights to my mom's for spring break. L wanted that as his "prize" for staying dry at night for a week. Jeez, I can only imagine what we will have to do for straight A's LOL. Anyway he wants it to b a surprise for my mom.

Anybody driven to Telluride from here? Looks 6-7 hours any guesses? We might not go back to the east for summer now that we are going this spring so the Telluride Bluegrass Festival is in June. D went about 14 years ago and would quite possibly kiss my feet if I got tickets and agreed to go up there. It actually sounds like fun, sort of. And another friend from back east might meet us there.

I figure we might as well try to see something in the general area while we both have jobs here...

And Rach I AM SO SORRY. But maybe they will show up again in some other place....

Oh no, Rach! Did you have any of them uploaded online anywhere? Devastating.

I hope C gets over her sinus infection quickly, doularn. I get those all the time since I moved to the desert. Not fun.

Doularn - hope C feels better soon! I've never had a sinus infection but i've heard they are pretty painful

ASF - what a lovely dinner! Talk of fondue makes me think of Melting Pot. . mmmmmm.

Next MNO we should do fondue. Love fondue. When are we doing MNO?

Doularn, I hope C feels better soon.

Rach, That's one of my biggest fears.

Are we doing playgroup this week? Next week I'd like to do the park near me on Friday so we can celebrate Little S's second birthday.

Crazy, I have no idea. He said the drive was corrupt or something. He was trying to fix it but wasn't having any luck. He thought I had already backed those pictures onto my computer so he wiped it clean.

Adam swears he copied all those pictures to disc years ago and today found one! So we have the first two months, at least. What a small relief.

Doularn, glad you got a diagnosis, hope she's better soon.

We got the biggest head of cabbage I have ever seen in our LPO box today.

I don't know about MNO. I want to do it but nobody else has said when they can come. Want to do Melting Pot then? I'm good with that!

Rach, well, if you want I can try to recover the data. I can't promise anything, but I might be able to.
