Eman- Can L go home with you on whatever day B's party is? Wed? ANd then go to the party and DH will meet you there after he picks up C? Meant to ask the other day.

ANd I am in a foul, foulf mood here tonight. Here's the list

3. Cats incisions are opening in spite of the cones and tube sock things.

I am drinking mucho red wine tonight.

Sorry about the roof and kitties, enjoy your wine, I "only" lost 38% of mine, D somehow did better, but it's sickening to realize how much we put and and lost this year.

Doularn, that sucks. All of it.

I'm slowly starting to feel better. It's been a rough flu.

We are six: Me : Dh : Ds1('00) Dd('02) Ds2('05) Ds3('08) and, wow! Soon to be seven, Dd2 due 4/23.

I lost about 30% of mine from Lovelace. This was our biggest one that we rolled over from Virginia. Alot. Of. Money. Not anymore

Ugh, how long did you spend building that up?

We lost about 20% of ours but M's only been out of grad school and working for 18 months, so it doesn't feel too awful.

Has anyone been to Out of the Blue Toys? They have two locations in ABQ; one east, one west. S has two birthday parties to attend this month (classmates, she is so excited) and I want to buy something less ordinary.

Also, etiquette: she is classmates with a twin and is invited to his joint party with his twin brother. She only knows the one boy. I was thinking I should just get them both a present, it seems odd to exclude the twin...what do you do in a situation like this?

I like Out of the Blue, I've only been to the one on Wyoming and Paseo, but it's fun. What about a game they could both play as a gift?

That 401k is over 10 years old. Six or seven years putting in and we rolled it over after we moved.

I'm over it now but I was a big mess for an hour or two here. Too many hits once today. I'm thankful we are both working and we didn't lose the house but this is gonna be a painful, painful year. The house renters are leaving in June and Dh's job is not really stable long term. Come July I could be back to two full housing payments.

Ai-yi-yi, doularn, ten years! That hurts.

It did seem to pour down on you today; hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Good thought, eman's. I'll check out the Wyoming store later this week.

ASF - count us in for the 13th, but I won't be able to get there until the afternoon.

My 401K had a big drop too. Oh well. I ain't retirin' for a loong time and I'm sure the economy will have bounced back by then. But still, it's sucky to see that it ended lower than it started, even after 8 mos of dutiful contributions.

Thanks everyone for the offers for Friday. I'm good this week but we'll see how the coming weeks will go. I think we'll be OK, though. And thanks everyone for the well-wishes. My health insurance must suck, but I feel like I'm constantly drowning in medical bills. I have to pay 20% of everything and that little colonoscopy in back in August is setting me back a couple hundred. Ever since having DD nearly 4 years ago, I've been on some sort of medical payment plan. Will it ever end??

ugh doularn what a hard time

so yesterday morning ds puked explosively on the way to take dd to school. We were stuck in the middle I40. He is puking and screaming. Then he is silent and i ask dd what is going on. She says "he is sleeping now"
So i try to wake him up and she is banging on his carseat and yelling and she says he is still asleep. I roll down all the windows and still no dice. I am getting ready to dial 911 and am still trying to pull to the side of 5 mph traffic and i am terrified. Then i am able to reach back and pull his hair - well that wakes him up and he is pissed. Boy was i relieved.

We get to her school a few minutes later and poor guy is covered in puke. We get home and i clean out the car and he is fine after that. Sleeping/insisting on nursing and eating/pooping. So i think he just choked/gagged on some drool and he is always tired in the morning taking dd to school.

It was so scary though.

Yikes scary, glad he's ok.

Crazy that is how our insurance is, fist dect. then 20% of everything, oh and don't forget we pay 100% of anything BCBS deam "excessive" which turns out to be significant. Good luck with this week, I had an EKG in college.

I stayed up last night to read... big mistake. I was jut headed to sleep at 130 when the cats were howling. CHecked on them and one kitties incision is open. DH takes them to the all night vet at 230. Home at 330. C up at 4 with a wet bed (those cloth overnighters are horrible). SO I get to sleep after 4am... I am dying.....back to baby days.

ANd I just got an email from my babysitter. She's moving to North Carolina to law school....

i've only been up 15 minutes, can't wait for the rest of the day.

ASF- I'm so sorry about DS yesterday. I had a similar car experience with L when he was about 18 months old. Its terrifying. SO glad all is well.

ASF, how scary! Glad he's okay. I know those mirrors are against the rules, but I got one with S because she would scream like hell the entire time in the car and then just stop. I was new mother and terrified that she had stopped breathing and pulled over more than once, so we got a mirror. I loved that thing!

Doularn, that sucks about everything hitting all at once. Hope today goes better even if it started rough.

Crazy, I know how you feel about the medical bills. Last years was horrible and I think this year will be also. I already have the GI, an appt with my reg. doc about hormone levels (something is off, I feel terrible and my temper is out of control) and I'm waiting for a neuro appt to check my brain to make sure I have nothing causing the migrains.

Discovered yesterday while driving with my mom that S loves the Beatles. "A Little Help from my Friends" is her favorite song right now

elm - we had one of those mirrors with big c and i loved it. It broke when i was preggo with baby c. Well we bought one for baby c and it broke a few months ago. So i think i am going to have to bite the bullet and buy a new one :

doularn - goodness - i think you need a cleansing or something - you have got to get rid of this black cloud!

crazy - dh works for the insurance co and we get their suckiest insurance - we pay 2000 per person deductible and then 20% till we each hit 3000 for our out of pocket. We have managed to hit the out of pocket for me the last 5 years due to a c/s, mc er visit, hernia repair, infertility workup, then another c/s sucks so bad!

ASF -- I would have been terrified! I'm glad he's ok.

Doularn -- I hope the kitties heal up nicely this time.

I never knew before this week that BCBS was so bad. Another friend of mine was just flat-out denied coverage because of something in her file from one of her completely normal, average pregnancies. No other explanation given.

We are six: Me : Dh : Ds1('00) Dd('02) Ds2('05) Ds3('08) and, wow! Soon to be seven, Dd2 due 4/23.
