1 - so which day for pippi? there is friday april 17 7pm ( a benefit) the 18 & 19 at 2pm I would rather one of the day shows but really can make any of the times work.

2 - does thursday april 23rd work for the majority of peeps for dds party?

3 - is it too much to do the baby party on friday march 20th after A's party on the 18th? C is off school that day for spring break so she wouldnt have to miss school...

Would love to do pippi, but I think dd is too antsy and wouldn't enjoy it.

peace - yikes! While i'm glad you are finding out what the issue is, it sounds very painful. Dr. Dahlgran at Pres. Pain & Spine (at Kaseman) has done DH's surgeries, and is fantastic. Let us know if you need anything or a way to bring pg closer to you

We got some of the chicks today.WAY cute! They are maybe a week old and C wants to carry them around.

Just a modifiedartist.gif trying to find some peace and regain my balance.

I'd prefer an afternoon for pippi, let me check the soccer schedule to see which day works.

The 23rd is E's acutal b-day, so I'm not sure we could make a party that day. When is Crazy on Spring Break from school on Friday's? For the baby party, would a Saturday work?

DoulaRN, I'm so bummed you are going to miss it

Blue I can't wait to hear about the chicks, mainly how easy they are to so I can convince D.

blue - Thanks for the offer. The surgeon Dr. Jones has recommended is Dr. Harvie (anyone heard anything negative about him?) through Lovelace - which is who my insurance is with. It's nice to have another surgeon's name though in case this one doesn't work out. It's looking like that's the route to take now.

I have some 12 -24 mo. clothes from playgroup to pass along. Also a cute pair of 12-18 month pink robeez. Emans? I'm thinking you're the next in line for girl's stuff that size?

would a wednesday (the 22?) from 5-7 be okay for most for dds party?

i can do a sat party - it just has to be in the afternoon as i have class till 1

peace - i have not heard anything good or bad about harvie - i have noticed that every referral i have gotten from dr jones i have been impressed with. They have referred me to a lawyer, surgeon, and a shrink and all were good people.

ASF, any day works for me for C's b-day.

We went to the zoo today. Little S touched a cactus then we saw the vulture eat a baby duck. Gross. Other than that it was a uneventful day at the zoo.

The 22nd is fine with us too.

Now, E's birthday is just a few days later and I was thinking of maybe having her party that next weekend (25th-26th), but could do it the weekend after that if it's too many parties all at one time. So aside from ASF needing it in the afternoon if it's on a Sat, does anybody else need a special time?

There's a lot to catch up on! Peace, I'm so sorry you're in so much pain, but at least they know why now! Surgery is scary, but hopefully it'll really make a difference for you and will be totally worth it.

Yuck about the baby duck being eaten. I hope little S is OK from his cactus prick.

Emans - I'm on spring break March 15-22nd. If we do the party on Fri the 20th, that would totally work because I won't have school. I just have somewhere to be at 5pm, but we'll just do the party earlier than that.

This is a crazy time of year for b-days!!

See the other place, I've started a party list : hopefully that will help keep track of everything.

We bought a "pole saw" it's basically a small chainsaw on a pole for tree cutting we should be able to get some of the small branches down, but we may need help on the bigger stuff. I'll let everyone know thanks for the offers we might need them. Oh and I'm sure everyones anti-social husbands love being volunteered.

Had a great weekend so far:

Chicks are cute and doing great.

Took DD out driving on some nearby gravel roads - She loved it (sitting on DH's lap). Best quote? "Dada don't help me. I'm doing FINE" as she tries to do a K-turn by herself

DS cut his first tooth (lower right front)

DS also started signing "Mama" :

So, plans for pg this week?? :

Let me see how nap goes but open gym sounds good.

So the pole saw is going back, loved the idea, hated the fact that it broke on the first time out.

DoulaRn, maybe cutting down a tree will spark something else

i let dd ditch school since we could not get it together with DST - so i figure if we do open gym i wont feel so bad that and it sucks outside DS is used to getting a good hour outside wearing himself out every day.

GRRR, so dd's chalazion (sp?) is getting better slowly so of course i think one is coming up on the other side I dont think she will have 5 year pics at this rate.

diva cup fail

i got it from that herb place you reccomended emans - super fast shipping btw - i think i need to trim the stem and maybe try again when the kids are sleeping.
***tmi alert***
i think between the shallow V issues and the heavy flow i was bound to have a fail at first

i forgot what a beastly age 1 is. ds wants to do everything and cant and gets so mad.

sorry about the diva cup fail, asf. that's happened to me quite a bit too. It took me 2-3 cycles to perfect my technique and now I'm good as gold. So don't give up. . just keep practicing.

We're full of fails today. My laptop failed. Died. As in, dead. Gone. Finito. My beloved laptop that I never ever wanted to replace. And I really really need one for school and I don't have much money this time around, so I'm going to get a netbook. Not exactly the best for my needs, but they are cheap so it'll do. Going to Costco tomorrow to buy it.

Crazy, I think dh saw the netbook for cheaper online somewhere if you can afford to wait. I know he commented that the price was a little high at Costco (but with shipping who knows how much it would cost.)

ASF, bummer about the fail.

Oh bummer Crazy, we were looking at the neatbooks around Christmas (Costco had a sale and we were thinking about replaceing the old laptops).

So the insurance company actually located the person and car that hit me and they are insured, of course now the person actually needs to "admit fault" but at least we've gotten over one hurdle.

I'm going to be bummed for a few minutes, D is going to a confrence in Monterey next month (this is a huge work deal and wonderful) I was hoping the kids and I could tag along, and we can but after running the numbers we both agreed that the money would be better used for the house or savings Sometimes I hate being a responsible grownup.

TMI Warning

ASF, yes it takes practice, give it a cycle or two and keep trying different folds, and yes cut the stem. Once you get it inserted you need to do/feel for two things, one make sure you've felt it pop open. After that feel around the outside of the cup (but inside you) and make sure it's covering your cervix. Once you get the hang of it it's wonderful. I've only had failure when it's been in wrong.

Elmh, yeah unfortunately Costco isn't running teh $50 rebate anymore like they were a month ago. I totally should have bought it then. But oh well, yeah, unfortunately now I can't wait and need it right away. Plus, Costco automatically adds an extra year to the manufacturer's warranty and I wouldn't get that at other places. The laptop I have now, a 12" lightweight Dell, needed warranty work 3 times in 3 years. In fact, the problem it has now is the same problem it had 6 mos ago that necessitated a motherboard replacement. So I bought it today and now I'm setting it up! I got the HP Mini 1000 (10.2" screen) and love it so far!

Also, my cervix is retroverted and way in the back. . .very hard to find. But I use the DivaCup just fine.

emans - I hope that the woman admits guilt. Maybe she'll be sufficiently freaked out that they tracked her down that she'll fess up.
