I think that Friday was the best day for the most people, how about we try the aquarium that day? Maybe picnic and let the kids run around in the grass.

Aquarium sounds great. We're going tomorrow with dh but I don't mind going again. There is apparently a new touch pool (according to one of the students in one of my mom's classes.) What time?

Bummer. I can't make it Friday because of school. Well, you guys have fun without me, k? The semester will be over in 5 weeks so it won't be too long before I get to do all the cool activities LOL

You have school even though it's Good Friday? I was hoping you'd be off.

Lis, it varries but we generally met around 10ish at places like that. We'll keep you posted, you won't believe how big M is, makes me sad she's so not a little baby anymore.

i can be there after 11 - then dd will only miss 1.5 hours of school

so poor dd had a hard time at school today. There was a fire drill and due to the winds the kids thought they saw smoke. Well, dd knows sometimes i volunteer in the kitchen - she thought i was working in the kitchen and it was on fire
She was outside during the fire drill for almost half an hour crying because she thought i was in a fire. When she walked into class and saw me there she ran to me and said "mama you're alive!" i felt so bad for her

Oh ASF I am so sorry C had to go through all that.

My sister and her husbnd go here okay. We went to Sadies for dinner. My BIL specifically requested that restaurant.

Any recommendations for other/better new mexican restuarants?

THe plot thickens with the midwifery stuff. I NEED TO SEE MY TRIBE....we are planning the tram on Friday, if its too windy maybe we will come to the aquarium.

ASF, I had no idea that was your cousin's restaurant! I've never been there, but I was thinking about it on Monday as I rode past it on the bus. Looked like an interesting place.

Oh, another thing, Doularn, I thought the tram was closed? I saw it on the news, that they are doing maintenance on the cables, something they only have to to every 12 years and so it's going to be closed until the end of April. I'm not sure the exact date. . .maybe the 25th?

ETA. . .it says here they are closed through the 24th: http://sandiapeak.com/ Sorry!

DoulaRN, we need to see you too Hope you enjoy your visit with your little sis.

So M and I need to get our sleep on the same schedule 2 nights ago I was up until 2 and then off and on for the rest of the night, she slept great (for her) last night I fell asleep at 9 and she was up I don't even know how many times. She's been sleeping in D's spot because I'm too lazy to get up and man that kid makes a ton of noise while she sleeps, she also snores just like D does

ASF, how sad!

Eman, she's just providing ambient noise while D is gone. She wants to make sure you don't miss him too much.

I'll see you all at 11 tomorrow.

Is it still under a warrenty? Jiffy Lube and other places like that have the sensor thing to read the error code, that is what I did when mine came on. Ford charges 95 dollars to say hi, no matter what. Then you at least have a starting point.

So I have a little bit of good news. . .

N has started sleeping better! It's not perfect, but it's a lot better. I haven't said anything for a few weeks because I didn't want to jinx anything, but I think its safe for me to say something now. I really attribute it to my attempts at nightweaning. So I say "attempts" because he still nurses at night, but I really cut down how often. The biggest problem is that if I'm in bed with him, he wants the boob in his mouth. He's not hungry, he just wants me.

So ya'll know I'm a night owl, which means that DH and DS go to bed much earlier than I do. The kid can be dead asleep but if I sneak into bed, he's instantly awake and wants to nurse. My solution? Um. . .I go sleep with E. : Then at some point he wakes up from true hunger, so I then jump in bed with him to nurse and finish off the night. He still wants to nurse non-stop when I'm there but at least I can get a few hours of uninterrupted sleep in E's bed (and it's all good, she has a double bed so there's enough room). I also have taken to, uh, rolling over so my back it towards N if he starts stirring and he usually goes right back to sleep. But man, if I'm on my side facing him, it's like he's got radar that the boobies are right there. And not only does he want to constantly nurse, but now he's into the twiddling stage. If I don't stop him, it hurts like crazy and I can't sleep. And if I do stop him, I have to stay awake to make sure my hand doesn't slip.

But regardless of our convoluted system, at least he's now going several hours before his first waking, and that's awesome!

We have a mechanic that we trust so that shouldn't be a problem. He's worked on all our cars except the Neon (which was under warranty.) The van is so old it didn't come with a warranty. I could have taken it in today but I had no one to give me a ride or watch the kids while I sat there for a couple hours and they don't do shuttle service, so I have to take it in bright and early (7AM!) tomorrow.

Crazy, I like your plan for sleeping better. I did that a couple times with Little S. Oh and the twiddling stage fricking sucks!

Crazy I'm glad you've found something that works for you You should have seen some of the crazy stuff we've done over the years, the kids have slept on mattresses on the floor, at one point we had a double and a king in our room (it really was a bedroom and nothing else). We've had dh try to keep a thermos of warm BM to give bottles....... I could go on and and on.

crazy - glad it is working for you
we had nightweaning fail - he screamed - spit the milk out - refused the bottle and acted like he was being tortured. he cried "mamamammamama" until i gave in. Dh even took him downstairs and he kept crawling up the stairs calling for mama.

someone hit my prius

she backed into it in a parking lot - a HUGE parking lot. So i have not settled form my last car accident and now i have another : and i JUST put those freakin stickers on and she ripped up 2 of them. I get to call the ins company tomorrow.

Also, the dryer is broken broken. I have to fight with them over replacing it. Now i havent had a dryer for a week and i am not pleased. They have no idea what irritable exhausted SAHM they have pissed off.

OMG ASF, you're having a horrible time! I could totally see N doing what C did And your new car??? That's awful! Seriously, are you a magnet for this kind of thing? Hopefully they can get your car all fixed up. I'd make a big stink about the stickers too. . I mean, it was still your property and all and should be replaced. And the dryer too? Man, if my dryer stopped working I'd be one unhappy mama! I hope it gets better for you in a hurry, I don't want any of your bad luck rubbing off on me.

Emans - thanks for the encouragement. I figure whatever works, ya know? Still, I never thought I'd be seeking refuge in my kid's bed LOL

Crazy when we bought our house, we bought the double bed for R's room, it was the refuge and the hum, well, you know bed for years. Whenever you needed to escape the family bedroom that is where you went.

Oh no ASF, do you know who did it? I'm still dealing with my taillight investigation stuff and it's been nearly two months. I swear next time I move somewhere I'm moving where they don't give out drivers liscenses in cracker jack boxes. :

See everyone at 11, I so need it after this week. We're packing some picnic foods.

Crazy, I saw the tram closing on the web yesterday : I was so pissed. We were really looking forward to it. They wanted to gamble so we went to Sandia Casino for a couple hours. We played roulette for an hour and penny slots. I lost $13 total. We saw a guy lose about 2k on the roulette table, he was either on a manic phase or a total addict. Then we went to Old Town for lunch and browsing. Today we were thinking about hiking the volcanos. I have eaten way more New Mexican food than anyone needs to. We ate at Sadies, Old Town and Los Cuartes so far. Hitting El Pinto tonight and that will do me for the year I think.

But man I love spending time with my sister.

I know who did it. Some idiot lady in an SUV too big for her to drive. She had to have backed straight into it. She had an obnoxious kid with her and i am sure she was just not even paying attention.
Seriously, my freakin car isnt even a year old.

I let C ditch school today all together - af came and ds was a beast last night. He just cries until he gets a nipple in his mouth.

In good news i did have diva cup win. I followed all of your tips and totally chucked the directions. Worked much better.

Just heard yesterday that the interview is canceled for Dh in CO. They already hired someone this week. : I really didn't want to move and the pay was awful, but it's still disappointing, especially for him. We can't really afford it, but we're going to still go to CO tomorrow to visit. The kids were so excited to see their grandparents. I feel really irresponsible for still going. Oh well. Hopefully something breaks soon. I'm getting really tired of this.

Boy aren't I just full of joy this morning? Aren't you all looking forward to hanging out with me today???
