C's last fever was last night. She's fine. However now I am down with a migraine. I just popped on to let Elmh know I wont be by today.

To add insult to injury we think there is a water leak here, Our water bill jumped to $160 last month. The rental guy was here and had to come in the house. Sadly it looks like it does when we are done w ith play group. If i werent so sick id be mortified but I just dont care. I have C sitting in front of the Tv so I can be in my bedroom in the dark

How about tomorrow for pg? I'm good with either place.

Doularn - glad C is feeling better but yikes about the water bill!

ASF & elmh - lunch sounded yummy! One of these days I'll be going to open gym. . .never been but DD would love it I think.

Doularn, glad C is better but I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I'll keep the diapes in my car so whenever I do see you, I'll have them.

Tomorrow at noon. We'll be there!

Hey all, sorry we have been so scarce lately - it has been a non-stop bad week or so for us here. Last week I had a root canal & found out another tooth was fractured and infected. Then DS had a major head adjustment with Dr K and has been teething, crying, having a constant runny nose and been pretty much a miserable little guy since (though it should be better any day. I hope.). Then DH had another back surgery, and it turns out he has some degenerating disks On top of that, my sister visited (it wasn't great, so i'm really disappointed) and DD has been a total needy/rude PITA at times (when she isn't being totally sweet and funny). Ugh. So we will probably be out tomorrow. I'm going to bed in hopes tomorrow gets better.

Just a modifiedartist.gif trying to find some peace and regain my balance.

hi mamas. i'd love to go to the zoo today (thanks for the email asf), but i don't know that i'm up for chasing v around the last time dh and i took her, he did all the running after her and i pushed an empty stroller, haha.

it's so nice outside too... i need to find a park that's fenced in or something. good thing the place we're moving to at the end of july has a great backyard that she can't escape from (at least i HOPE she can't).

going to ask dh if he can care for v on saturday for tie dye fun.

had a nice time at open gym. v asked to go back for stamps

Oh, Blue, that's an awful lot of bad in such a short period of time. I hope today is the start of better days ahead.

We're just barely on the well side of whatever is bothering their tummies and I think it would be imprudent to go on an outing. Also, I don't want to share this with anyone.

We are six: Me : Dh : Ds1('00) Dd('02) Ds2('05) Ds3('08) and, wow! Soon to be seven, Dd2 due 4/23.

Thanks emans and KMJ. Last night they were both up screaming for almost an hour because C didn't want to pee and had worked herself hysterical about it, waking her brother up in the process

Oh, and Z will now use my hands for balance and walk to get something he really wants. And is pulling up on things too. I mean seriously, the dude is an overachiever!!

I'm hoping DH will take C for a bit on Saturday. They have been working on the coop lately. I will have Mr. Crabcake though

blue - i hope things slow down for yall soon
and dont worry - you know nursing tiny babes (yes, he is still a tiny baby - no growing up for him!) are always welcome at MNO

So for sat it would be much quicker if everyone had their stuff tied/wrapped etc so all we have to do is dye it. bring trash bags to take your wet stuff home. I dont remember what else we need since it has been so long
how is 1 or 2 pm for everyone?

I was just rolling my eyes inwardly at dh because he just realized that pippi and tie dye are this weekend. He was whining about watching the kids nonstop sat while i am in school and then dying and then on sun again for pippi. Then i got a call from a friend and i am so grateful that he is the dad he is.
She just found out she is pg with #3 (not planned) and is freaking out because she had to go to an apt and he couldn't handle the 2 kids alone. For 2 hours. he is their dad and lives with them but cant "babysit" for a prenatal. She is freaking because she realized that if she died the kids would be screwed. He can handle their 3 y/o for short trips to the park or even the grocery store. He has never taken both kids (1 and 3) ANYWHERE alone. Seriously. She is so mad that she has these kids with a partner who can't/won't "dad up" and be a parent. I feel bad for her

Liss bummer, active kids aren't fun when preggo.

So I'm just planning on bringing snacks to the zoo, does that work? I'll feed R in the car.

I don't know if it's age, 3 kids, lack of sleep or the fact that life is beyond crazy, but I put acne cream on my eyes this morning (instead of eye cream), and then couldn't figure out why my eyes were burning and I smelled funny.

Oh and I got stuff and Walmart this morning for tye dying, they had some nice tops/sweaters in the womans clearance but had nothing for little girls. I ended up getting R a size 3/5 juniors coverup that I'm hoping she can use as a dress.

Anyone going to the movie on Friday "Born in America" I think is the name. 6pm at Rio Grande Midwifery. I may go but need my tribe.

I still have a sweater/headband and a pair of adult socks.

We're back. We came back on Tuesday night. It was quite the quick trip. C had a terrible time adjusting to everything and I felt like I was fighting with him and with all of the in-laws who just thought he needed some "discipline." : DD ended up getting a stomach bug and was puking all day on Monday. Soooo fun. I'm glad to be home. The kids and I did get to go up and visit a really good friend of mine on Sunday. That really was fun. And the kids were really excited to see their grandparents and cousins etc. Thankfully, they had no idea what drama was going on with the adults.

So you have a toddler cleaning tip number 1: Sharpie can be removed from a microwave with 409 and a whole lot of arm power. It however, will not remove it from the table.

elm, thanks for the tip! I will say, though, that rubbing alcohol works wonderfully at removing Sharpie. It can also remove varnish from wood (btdt), so proceed at your own peril.

ASF, I was wondering that too.
Peacelove, I hope you are recovering nicely from surgery!

Elm, the girls drew on a dry erase board with a sharpie and I just colored over the sharpie with the dry erase marker and it wiped right off. I wonder if that could work on other surfaces?

Peacelove - hope you're doing OK!

Doularn - can't make it tomorrow, sorry. I have school in the morning and then we're all going to the car show at the convention center in the afternoon.

Oh, about the photo sharing issue we talked about yesterday. . .I did some searching and people either recommended Smugmug (but that costs money) or Flickr. With Flickr, you can now create totally private groups and everyone can contribute photos to the group album. At least that's how I think it works. . I've used Flickr for a long time but have never used the group feature.

Ok I just made a big old post and it didn't go through, mmmmm. Anyway I created a group so hopefully some of you will be getting an email to join, I know I didn't get everyone, so if you didn't get an email it means that I don't have your email address or I'm not awake enough to find it, so email/pm me and I'll add you in. :

Oh and in case my other post never shows up DoulaRN, we are free this morning until about 11.

If it doesn't show up, I'll add more later.
