Dh just got an offer for the job here...course he told them he'd let them know next week after he talks to Virginia. AAAAAHHHHH! At least it's some good news, though. Why am I feeling more stressed than before he had anybody interested in hiring him?

COMommy - Yay! : What great news!

Emans and all the other stressed mamas needing hugs -

Crazy - I hope all the craziness with UNM gets smoothed out soon! How frustrating! I always have my doc request that they give me a copy of any films/or disks after I have CT's, MRI's etc. You can also tell them that you have a doctor appointment that afternoon or early the next morning and they need to give you a copy now so you can take it with you to the appointment. As my first ENT said to me, "It's your scan and you paid for it, you should have a copy of it!"

Burke - I'm so sorry to hear about your dog! I hope that you've had some luck finding him!

Dd and I hibernated in the house all day. I just couldn't muster up the energy to do much of anything. Going to try to get out and get a little exercise tomorrow while dh takes dd on a bike ride.

I know I'm a little sporadic around here and you guys don't know me all that well, but if you don't mind I'll mosey on over to the other place while dd eats her beloved maco cheese (macaroni and cheese) and fill out the questions. Maybe you'll learn a little more about me.

And Emans - I have a huge bag of pg clothes if you want it. Just let me know. I think you're the only one with a dd in those sizes.

Dh and I were both up a ton last night. I think he's decided to take the job here and cancel his flight to the east coast. I'm excited (obviously). But, it's a tough decision. The other job payed a lot more, had great benefits as well as being more prestigious. I feel like the only reason he's taking the job here is for me. That's not an entirely bad thing, just really hope it's the right decision.

comommy - i am so glad - selfishly - that you guys made that choice. You all have had to move so much in the last few years, the stability is good. Also, if that guy was such a jerk on the interview who knows what he would be like as a boss.

COMommy - Rach has a really good point there! Hopefully it will work out best for everyone. I know you and your kids are glad to stay and not have to pick up and move again. And we are glad you are staying too!

Does anyone know much about the bead stores here in town? I was in Mama's Minerals the other day because I wanted to get some beads that were actual stones, not plastic. I can't figure out their system. Do you have to buy a whole strand! That would be so expensive to get what I want! Dd was way too hands on with everything, not that I blame her, I mean the beads are gorgeous and so tempting. But it probably wasn't a good idea to visit the store with her in tow. Anyway - my question is: is there a better place to buy semi-precious stone beads (I think there is another bead store in nob hill?) and do I have to buy the whole strand or can I pick and choose a few of each of different kind of stones?

COMommy - YAY for the job here! : Go with your gut, and it will all work out!!

peace - Usually you have to buy the whole strand. The other good one in Nob Hill is Stone Mountain Beads on Central. What aare you looking for? I may have something - I have a lot of semi-precious stones. I can also order easily from a wholesaler if you want to check my catalog out.

I'm so bummed we haven't been able to hang out with you guys lately. With DH's crazy school schedule and being down to one vehicle, we havent been able to make pg. Hopefully we can swing it before too long!

Just a modifiedartist.gif trying to find some peace and regain my balance.

Peace, yeah you'd think UNM was like that. It was that way every other place I've been. Apparently at UNM if you don't ask for your complimentary copy before you get there, you have to pay for it. I showed up, checked in, and then before I even had the MRI I asked for my copy and was told that I'd have to pay $10 for it. The woman I talked to just kept arguing, saying it was my fault for not asking for it sooner and that although they don't advertise they give free copies, I should have known. WTF? And she screwed up my insurance again.

comommy - I'm sooo happy for you! I mean, I know the other job was supposed to be bigger and better and more interesting and all that, but you don't know how it would have played out. I mean, the interviewer sucked and they changed the job title/description on you. Sounds like it was smart to take the job here, even if its less exciting and more mundane. When the economy picks up and you guys recover from the unemployment, then you can pursue a more exciting job. And the main advantage then is that it will be on your terms, not there, because you won't be desparate.

I also want to thank you for watching N and E yesterday. It was a huge help!

Rio Grande is an awesome place, but their showroom is pretty small - they mainly do catalog orders (although you can call in an order and pick it up there). They don't have a stock that you can really browse unfortunately

We went on the Urban Chicken Coop tour today. Pretty interesting. We were invited to show ours on the next tour

They may still deliver, but if I remember right there was a minimum $$ amount or product amount to do it. I always just call and pick up my orders since it is so close to me. They are really quick about sending out catalogs, although they have much of it online (though you have to login for pricing) . Their current stone beads are here: http://www.riogrande.com/MemberArea/...48=Stone+Beads

But really peace, I have a bunch of stuff if you want to look through it. It will give me a chance to finish a project or two if you want. What are you looking for specifically?

Thanks for all the help on the beads! I may have to check out those other shops. I will pm you blue with more info on what I'm thinking of. One of my very favorites is moonstone.

Eman - I will try to round up a few more of the pg things that H has outgrown and add them to the bag. I'll let you know when it's ready and either bring it to you at a pg or drop if off for you.

Comommy- i hope you saw my enthusiasm on FB...... and was that other job in Northern VA. I can tell you all the reasons you would like it here better. May I list them for you...

1. Cost of living is crasy high. Your house here would cost $500K
2. Too crowded, traffic is a night mare.
3. Its all about Washington DC
4. Its too far away
5. Its too far away
6. Humidity is unbelievable
7. Playgroup is here
