I thought about it a few times but never held onto the thought long enough to follow through with it. I can't believe we went this long either!

Ha thats pretty funny. I click on Junebugs everyday..

So its my turn now, I am sitting in the Rio Rancho ER/Pres. I had BP's today at work running 170/110. So my friends kicked me out and sent me here. So maybe all these headaches have been BP related....

I will update later. Should be out after bloodwork done.

Oh DoulaRn, hope they can get it taken care of and that it's nothing.

Rach are they listed on petfinder, I'd love to see your little babies (do you keep them until they are adopted out?).

They aren't on petfinder. Do you think it would help to have them on there?
We will keep them until they're all adopted. Right now, Willie and Baby are too small to fix so we'll definitely have them for awhile.

These are older and newer pictures so actual sizes vary. It is really hard taking pictures of kittens for some reason. lol Here they are from biggest to smallest:
Goliath This is the biggest one. He had his eye removed (I did not take pictures of his eye pre-surgery, it was horrific!!!) and the surgery site is completely healed.
Pegasus He found a home. This is an early picture. He is a "flame tipped siamese" because his ears, nose, tail, and paws are orange while the rest of him is white.
Yoda He is completely blind. He is very good at finding his way around.
Cute The only girl. She talks A LOT. Adam says her eyes don't look as sad anymore.
Willie Blind in the left eye. He often gets lost in the shuffle because he is always overshadowed by the personality of the other kittens.
Baby This little guy was 8oz when we got him. He slept all day and refused to open his mouth to eat. But now he's 1 pound 3 oz and as active and energetic as the rest of them.

doularn - hope it was just a weird heat thing. Lots of people seem to have random bp issues here if they didnt grow up here. Between the heat/dehydration and the altitude it is killer.

Rach those babies are just precious. I don't know if it would help but it can't hurt YK? Being special needs it's going to take a bit longer, some of our guys sat at the shelter for a week or more and they didn't have any issues. Do the adoptathon people have little summaries of their personalities? That can help, people "know" what they are getting.

So which came first .. the headache or the hypertension ? That is the question of the day. Do I have a headache from the high BP or do I have a high BP from the headaches... no one seems to know.

They want me to take a dieurtic to lower my BP, it was 145/90 in the ER and they didnt seem to want to lower that.

i wonder if Prozac or Ativan would help? I got a percocet for my headache and it didnt make it go away, I just didnt care that I had one.

So I guess I need to make some MD appts while we still have insurance. The good news is that I am staying home from work tomorrow. Lets see how much rest I get...

Losing weight and exercise would probably help too huh?

We will be at open gym tomorrow but not sure if we will do anything after. Dh might come to chase the beast boy.

DD was watching videos of herself tonight. There was one of her turning 3. It is her, elms big S and emans R. They are so cute trying to hit the pinata. S looks tiny and like a little baby. The 3 of them were beating a pinata and it wouldnt bust so DH busted it and C cried.

I probably won't make it to open gym today. The yard people are supposed to come look and see what we want done so we can get an estimate, but she's not sure what time she'll get here. Either mid-morning or noon. If possible, we'll come up cause the kids really need it.

Fill the garden with soil, level the grass, level the sprinklers and we'll look at the cost of sod.

Elm, if sod is too pricey, google zoysia grass. We're contemplating it for next year for the back yard.

Doularn, I hope you are resting and relaxed today. My BP has been a lot lower since moving here. It's low to begin with so that's not a great thing for me, but I figure low is usually better than high, right?

Have fun at open gym! H was up several times in the night seeking the boob so I got about 3 non-consecutive hours. I have to get to Trader Joe's today but that's all I HAVE to do. The rest of the week is quite busy, and on top of that we're supposed to paint the living room, dining room and hallway, complete with trim.

Who has laminate floors, anyone? I want to do cork but have to wait one year if I choose that. If I do laminate in the front (about 300 sq feet total) I might be able to do it this year. The carpets are getting awful and that's with me spot cleaning them nearly weekly!

We are six: Me : Dh : Ds1('00) Dd('02) Ds2('05) Ds3('08) and, wow! Soon to be seven, Dd2 due 4/23.

The patio guy was here this morning and took down the warping rotting patio. Oh my goodness my backyard is so hot and bright right now. Gonna put on sunblock and let the girls run in the sprinkler for a bit. Tomorrow they come back to build us a new one. :

Great news Rach

KMJ, we have laminate in the kids rooms/hallway and office, we've been doing it room by room. We love it. : Now we don't have it in the living room yet (that will hopefully be this fall). But it's really tough and durable, was super easy to install and I think looks amazing.

Rach - Yay for new patios!!! : And are ya'll the ones who got the artificial grass? Just wondering how you like it and how it might do with dogs.

KMJ - Good luck with the floors!

Doularn - Hope you are feeling better and that you are able to figure something out soon that will help out. And... it turns out Lisa is covered on our insurance! So dh called her today and is getting the ball rolling on that!

We like it. We got it because the yard was originally landscaped with rocks and we wanted something nice the girls could play on year round. It does get really hot in direct summer sunlight so we wet it to cool it down before letting the girls play on it.
It drains really well. We do have one spot that seems to puddle but the puddle is gone fairly quickly.
We use a leaf blower to blow the leaves off it but the lady at the store said that she had one customer that used a shop vac to clean it because it made the grass stand up and look real.
I'm not sure how a dog would do with it because we only have indoor cats. But I do know they advertise it as pet friendly.
If it's near any surface root trees, they will make it lumpy like they do to real grass. Ask me how we realized willows are surface root trees...! lol
