My friend took all three kids this afternoon. I think she must have been a bit crazy. But, it sure was a nice break. Since I had some free time, I went by Hipstitch. She told me we could book the sewing lounge for $10 per person. We would have it from 6-9 and have access to their sewing machines and notions. We could also bring in our own snacks. It has to be an evening that they don't have a class scheduled. What do you think? I think it would be great not to have to drag out my machine and we wouldn't have to worry about anyone having to kick out their family for the evening. Any nights better than others?

downward dog is the *only* pose baby c knows - lol

we are iffy for thursday as i dont know exactly when dh will be back etc. Which sucks not only because i have to drive the scary camero but also because dd is having a fit about it. She bawled her eyes out on the way home that he wasnt there to pick her up.

C had a great 2nd day at school - she was exhausted and took a nap at rest time! I was She asked to stay full day tomorrow too.

One kid who is in her class has a mom who home schooled and came to our pg once.

Another kid used to be in the ooooold playgroup with C when she was a baby

Her teacher is awesome and i really like the school.

i would be cool with doing a sewing night. monday, wednesday, friday, saturday nights are best for us. though with school fri and sat are the best.

So M is back to the toxic poo, she screams and cries owww whenever I change her and with 4 poos like this a day it's really not fun.

CoMommy I don't know what I'd do with that kind of freedom it must have been heaven.

9 pm is a bit late for me but I could do it. Tuesday and Thursday are the worst but I could probably make anything work.

The only day I can't really do for MNO is Wednesday, at least for a couple weeks. S's school has like every parent meeting for the first couple of weeks scheduled on Wednesday nights.

You're invited to a cupcake decorating party for Eva on Sunday at 1pm at our house. We'll have cupcakes and drinks.
This way it doesn't interfere with school. But if anyone wants to meet up on Monday, we're free all day.
Just to let people with cat allergies know, we're still fostering most of that kitten litter.

pink is her favorite color. She likes the usual girlie things (fairies, princesses, butterflies, etc..) and is obsessed with kittens lately, thanks to our foster kittens.

Rach, I'm not sure if we'll make it. I'm pretty sure dh is working Sunday, so if he is, we'll try to be there. I'll let you know when I know.

ASF, you have that chin-up that mounts to the door jam right? Is that something that an R sized person could do casts, pull-overs and back hip circles on? She wants a bar, and well I don't want to spring for one.

I took R to Old Navy for the jeans sale, and man I can say they start the slutty jeans and poor sizing a bit early. :

emans - i am not sure - you are not supposed to swing on it. BUT, both of my C's swing on it and they are fine. I think it holds up to 200 lbs - my only worry would be her smacking the doorjamb. The bar we had my dad put up attached to the treehouse was not too $$ or hard and i can do glide-kips, hip circles and all kinds of stuff on it.

So, mall play place tomorrow. How about right away after dropping the kids off at school? 9ish?

I'd come tomorrow but I am SIIIIIICK. Like, I think I might have the flu (swine, er, H1N1?). I had to go to the doctor for something else and they did a strep culture just in case. . I'll get the results tomorrow. I'm so sick that I asked DH to stay home from work tomorrow because I just can't watch the kids in this condition. And its' a long story, but I can't take cold meds so I'm really miserable. Tylenol is just not cutting it. Good thing N only got it mildly. . all those antibodies he's soaking up!

Thanks!!

I guess I should have introduced myself - :

I'm a SAHM of 4 - 3 girls and a boy.

I have a background in legal support but left the field to be a mommy and to follow my true calling to be an ASL interpreter. I'll go back to school to get certified once my baby girl is older.

Originally from NY (upstate, not city). But in the desert for 13 years. Hubs job keeps us here... lol.

I'm just looking to meet some like minded mamas

Oh and we are in RR.

I'm way on the other side of ABQ, but there are several moms up in RR and the surrounding area.
That's cool that you are going to get your certification to be an ASL interpreter. I thought about doing that once upon a time, but ended up going in a different direction.

Welcome NY! We have been teaching our kids some ASL to help with communication when they are pre-verbal. One of these days I really want to do more with the language though, as I have really enjoyed it (but I'm weird, I actually like learning languages ). Hope to meet you sometime at a playgroup.

Got my broken tooth partially dealt with today - fun times.

Rach - I will try to bring the kids on Sunday.

Just a modifiedartist.gif trying to find some peace and regain my balance.
