I'm looking for schools in the Houston area that still have some sort of financial assistance available for pre-k. Most of the schools we've looked at don't start assistance until kindergarten.
It's taken forever but my dh finally got exclusive rights to sd's education, we had planned to move into a better school district but it doesn't look like it's going to happen.
we found a public school that is near our house that looks promising but it would require transferring districts, does anyone know how difficult that process is?
thanks for the help
I haven't logged on to MDC for months and am not sure when I'll be back but I do know Pre-K is tuition based unless you meet federal guidelines re: low income requirements or English is not your first language. I am only familiar with public schools and don't know what you mean about transferring districts... LIke the school is close to you but you live on the "wrong" side of the border? If so, it will depend on what districts you are talking about and I can only speak to HISD, SBISD and AISD. Basically if it is a good program you are SOL because there will be a wait list.
