I will be moving to San Antonio soon and need recommendations for a midwife (I am 24 weeks right now...will be 27 weeks or so when I finally get there).  I also need a pediatrician that accepts delayed vax kids, an OT and a speech therapist.  Also need to know how to get my son enrolled in preschool...we have an active IEP from Colorado.

I am getting increasingly nervous about the move, especially since I will almost be to my 3rd trimester when we get there.  Are there any homebirth/birth center midwifes that will accept me this late in pregnancy?

Nothing to suggest but I thought I'd bump your post up for input. smile.gif

Anyone in Texas have a recommendation?

Here is a link to the San Antonio attached parenting forum - lots of helpful info regarding midwives and people who have used them:

As far as enrolling in preschool, it depends on what school district you are in.  Most of them here have headstart for preschool kids, but you need to qualify for it through the school district you live in.  Are you looking for a private preschool?

I used the Lone Star Midwives, but they only deliver in a hospital setting. If you are looking to deliver at home, check out the attached parenting board.

Hope this helps some!
