So we're moving there. Which town would you recommend? What's the best school district? DS will start kindy in fall. Can anyone recommend a great doc/family practice for us (Blueshield takers please)? Thanks!

I live in the Austin area of Texas, so I don't have any information to share but I saw your post and wanted to bump it up for attention. Hopefully someone will have something to share that will be of help.

Have a great move to Texas! Don't forget your sunblock :)

I live in a different area of Dallas, but I know people and have done a LOT of stuff in these areas.  My vote would be on McKinney or Frisco.  Both have excellent schools and are far enough away from the city to slow down a little (McKinney a little more so), but they're both on major highways that make it a straight shot into downtown if needed (where's there's a ton of cool stuff to do).  Unfortunately, I can't make any doctor recommendations.  All of mine are a little farther south.  Sorry!

Dr. Bain in Frisco is the most recommended family practice doc in those areas for holistic minded people.  My understanding is that she has horrible bedside manner, but her staff is great.

Thanks. We decided on McKinney. Now it's waiting to see what pops on the market daily...
I did get the kids in with Bain but we'll see her np.
