Hi All,

My family is relocating to Midland, TX from Cleveland, OH. I am a homebirth midwife and have accepted a position at a birth center in Midland.

I am looking for someone to provide child care for my children. I am also looking for a ped/family doc that is non-vax friendly and  a ped dentist.

Any help is appreciated!

Angie

I am "near" midland part of the year, I didn't know they had a birth center! Congratulations on your position, the area needs more care providers for sure. hope this little bump gets you the answers you need.

I'm also in Midland looking for a family doctor. My son is only 8 weeks old right now, but most family doctors see 3 months and up, I believe. Right now we have him at Dr. Patel's office but he's only been once, at 8 days old for his one week check up. (We were out of town so haven't scheduled any more visits.) I don't know how non-vax "friendly" he is, but he didn't seem bothered when we told him that we had a home birth and didn't do hep b or vitamin k. He asked if we'd be declining all vaccines and we said we were for now but were still researching and he just said, "okay" and kept typing in our file. So I don't know if he likes it or not but he wasn't upset. We've lived here for a year and neither my husband nor I have a doctor here so we are also looking for a GP or family doctor that will take us all at the same place. Good luck and please post back if you find a good one!

I currently live in Midland Tx. My son was born here. There are no non-vax doctors that I know of. They will delay them as long as possible. My son sees Dr. Sager.

Congrats on accepting the position at MW!!!!!! S was my main midwife (old family friend) and I lloooooved her!!! She is so special. We moved from Midland when my son was 6 months old. The Pediatrician I had (Dr. Summer Alexander) was friendly to a selective/delayed schedule but unfortunately she has since moved on to a different type of practice and I don't think is doing Pedi work anymore.
