I'm planning a home birth this summer and have been looking for a doula. It's fairly easy to find doulas who advertise, but (and I'd be happy to share my reasons) I'd really like to have a doula who is still training and needs to attend births toward certification.
I have mentioned this to a few people/in a few places, but have yet to hear from anyone or get any concrete names.
If you know of anyone or of anywhere I could try, I would really appreciate it - I would be able to get a certified doula easily, but I would really like to give someone the opportunity if they were working toward certification.
