Any Mamas in El Paso?

Hi everyone! We will be moving to El Paso in December as my DH recently got a faculty job at UTEP. Just wondering if there are any other crunchy or semi-crunchy (as I would describe myself) mamas in the area. We have a two-year-old daughter and will have a newborn son by the time we move.

I've been a SAHM for the last year and will be home for at least another year after we move. I'd love to connect with other mamas and find out what El Paso has to offer in terms of activities, classes, playgroups, preschools, etc.

Near El Paso

Hello, I am very new to this site but live in Las Cruces, NM. We are an hour and 40 minutes outside EP. I am semi-crunchy myself! I have been a SAHM for the last year. I plan to work from home when I graduate in June.

I'm in El Paso! There are a lot of crunchy moms in the area. We have two AP groups that I know of, very active cloth diapering, breastfeeding support and baby wearing groups if your husband is working at UTEP you will definitely want to move to the westside of town.

I'm also in EP, and have never heard of these AP/babywearing/etc groups. Please share!
We live in Central/Manhattan Heights, and *love* the area, but everyone seems to live either East or West. We used to go to storytime at the library, but have discovered storytime at Barnes and Noble is way better (our local library has a non-native English speaker who does storytime, and the language is definitely an issue sometimes!).
Get a membership anywhere you can think of that's indoors - you will roast outside with children for several months of the year, and get sandblasted for a further couple of months. The indoors is your friend! We like the Exploreum. It's a bit "old" for your two, but does have some younger stuff, and is inside and airconditioned!

For greater things are yet to come...
