Greenwood in north seattle- about 6 inches. It was amazing watching the snow fall for like 8 hours straight. I am so thankful I am a SAHM. And I feel so bad that my husband has to go to work because of it. At least he is more confident driving than I am. You know cause I am from here and he's from Africa. I really just don't like driving in this stuff, and with the kids screaming in the background, I think it best I stay off the roads.

North Idaho. Supposedly got 25" of snow in a 24 hour period - huge record.
Previous record was 15" or so of snowfal in a 24 hour period.
And it's snowing again.

I have a feeling that when this is all over I"m going to be SICK of staying home. Oh wait, I already kind of am...

We got another inch or so of snow last night. It's cold (29), but looks to warm up to 35 by noon. Hoping it goes away! We have plans to bake cookies with my Mom tomorrow :

I think we ended up with a total of 27-30" in our yard from that first storm. It was pretty dry and fluffy though, and started compacting last night/today. It almost comes up to my 2.5yo's shoulders I think - scares him more than anything, even when he's all decked out like a marshmallow.

Good thing I know how to work the snowblower now, we'll see what arrives in the next few days...

We have about 6 inches of snow with ice on top here in Vancouver Sunday morning. I'm really dreading going to work today. I drive a Tri-met lift bus and I have to work today.

Did you survive??

Gary tried to go in to work on Friday, but the bus in front of his slid off the road, so it turned around and he came home... He's probably working from here again tomorrow. Alas, not all of us can do that!

Uploaded a video of today's snow. Getting a wee bit tired of being home, but am trying to enjoy all this time together as a family! I don't think we have ever spent this much time together, all cooped up inside. It's very nice.

Just got back in now. The roads were terrible tonight. I had to go rescue another bus and got stuck myself. Then a third bus got stuck in the same spot. I had to take a power nap before I headed home tonight.

We were without power from 4:30pm to midnight yesterday, heard one transformer blow (from the ice), went outside and saw the second one blow. In total, I guess 4 blew around us, lines were down all over and I heard more blowing as we laid in bed 4 hours early

Now the title of the thread should be "How Much Snow?"

I think I lost my broom in the snow day before yesterday. It will take weeks for the snow to disappear when it does warm up.

I'm in the Fo Gro, and we have about a foot and a half of snow, with a quarter inch of ice hiding in it too. Oh yeah, and it keeps snowing on and off. I am soooo not happy.......

Thank goodness I can work from home.

We're in Redmond and we've had 16". At the moment there's a pickup truck and a UPS delivery truck stuck in front of our house. The UPS delivery truck is vehicle #4 to be stuck on that same stretch of pavement. Sadly, we were vehicle #1, but we got enough neighbor-power together to push ours back into the garage.

10 minutes west of Spokane.

I think I stand at over 2.5 feet easy now. Slightly higher elevation than spokane where I live. Supposed to get another 8 to 12 inches tonight and more the rest of the week. The chainlink fence around my yard is barely sticking out above the snow at this point. If my chihuahua and pomeranian could stand on top of the snow they could easily jump the remaining 6 inches of fence.

I haven't left my house in over a week. Venturing to my moms tonight (5 miles south) for christmas eve festivities... we'll see if we can make it back home afterwards. Supposed to hit dh's mom's house in spokane on the south hill christmas morning. Not even sure if the roads up the hill will be open by then.

not a fan.

~TRACY, wife to loving dh, mommy to dd (10/05), ds(12/08), 3 kitties, & 2 pups.
