We don't have a LOT to spend, but I really would love to get a wooden play kitchen for DD (almost 4yo). If I buy one new they are incredibly expensive (like....~$200??). I have searched Craigslist and no one is selling. Does anyone in OR have one that they no longer use? Or maybe know of one for sale that is somewhat reasonable?

I'd like to keep it around $50 or less, if possible.

Thanks for all of your help. I just know DD would LOVE this and I really want to find one for Christmas. Pre-loved is fine,

edited to add: Oh, and I'm really hoping to find a wooden one. In the end, I may break down and buy a plastic one, but I just prefer not to if I can avoid it. I'd rather buy a used wooden kitchen, than a plastic new one.

and I know that Milagros has kitchens, but I think they are around 200.

I would look at Craigslist in your area, and children's consignment stores. Some consignment stores will even let you keep a "wish list" and they will call you when something you are looking for comes in.

I got DD's wooden kitchen for $50 at Tuesday Morning - it was a great deal, but also kind of a stroke of luck to find one there.

Here's a play kitchen - probably not solid wood - but better looking in my opinion than some of the plastic ones. It's $40 in the PDX area right now.

I also started a "comprehensive play kitchen" thread in the toddler's section. You can search on the words in quotes and it should turn up - it has premade and DIY kitchens posted.

Or you can recycle an entertainment center, like we did. You can usually find them free or super cheap on Craigslist.
