My 2 1/2 year old little dude is verrrrrrry physical, and we're looking for some fun activities to cater to his need to climb. His dad mentioned a rock climbling gym, and I know that a local mom told me there is a gym in the Seattle area that she took her 3 or 4 year old to (but I don't know how to get in touch with her - she was in a class with me). But internet searches are not turning anything up -I see the climbing gyms, but most seem to not allow kids under 6 to participate? Or maybe I'm misunderstanding.

But I figured if anyone would know, it'd be my fellow MDC mamas! Spam me with fun, physically challenging activities for my toddler. We're looking for some ideas that are a little more than just the indoor play gyms at community centers - those are fun and all, but we've gotten bored at our local one (High Point in West Seattle).

TIA!

Chessa , mama to Silas T (6/06) , wife to Chad . Welcome August Emerson! 2/8/10

The only rock gyms I know of are Stone Gardens in Ballard or the Imagine Children's museum has a rock wall for them to climb. HTH

Seattle Gymnastics Academy has an open drop in hour and a rock wall positioned above the foam pit. Also lots of other stuff to climb and swing on and a really long trampoline to run across. I want to take my kiddos climbing too, but it seems like most places want them at least 5 first.
