It's official, we decided on a date and time for the next swap in West Seattle, very near the bridge. Hopefully people can make it! PM me for directions.
I have DD's stuff and a few things from DS. Feel free to come even if you don't have much/anything to contribute. I don't think any of us would mind. It seems like this is a fairly girl-heavy crew, though.
I'd say if you have mama clothes to bring, go ahead. The more the merrier.
My DH just went thru and pulled some things out of his closet, I'll put them in the swap pile just in case any one is interested and I know of a really cute sweater of his that I shrunk! I agree the more the merrier!
So Lily got into the swap bag and started pulling her old clothes out and dressing her stuffed animals. She is insisting that her bunny Penny is keeping her outfit! I going to try to get her to put it back in the swap and find something more appropriate for a bunny at the swap.
So, how would people feel about moving the swap into February? We have some crud over here that just won't go away. I keep thinking it's better one day and then the next one of our noses is running again. I just don't know how contagious it is, but really don't want to pass it around.
How do people feel about the 12th of February or the 19th? Same time, same place...
Sweet, I'll bring a variety of clothes to give away, then. I have a more grown-up stuff than baby stuff since our guy is only a year old yet and we still plan to have another one at some point. Hope that works!
I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if it gets rescheduled.
We're still crud-a-licious over here as well. Reid ended up with pneumonia, I got bronchitis, Elsa we're not sure about yet.
I'm up for either of those days, but am cool with a day other than a Thursday, too. If it was Monday the 16th, I could do a morning gathering. Otherwise we're restricted to afternoons.
The 16th in the am works even better - my LO still naps in the afternoon, AND the sitter has been coming for a few hours in the afternoons, so in the morning, I won't be missing any time to work AND DD won't be INSANE for the rest of the day b/c of it.
As it turns out, I actually have a whole new kind of crud. We're now guessing that DS and I both got sick two weeks ago, then ended up with this lung thing. DH and DD have been sick since this weekend, but it seems more in the head/throat. My massive headache yesterday turns out to have been sinus-related, and overnight it turned into stuffy painful ears, stuffy sinuses, and swollen glands/sore throat. I was feeling so much better on Monday, but now I'm back to feeling like I want to lay around on the couch in pain all day....ugh. Is it wrong to wish that DS still felt ill, so that he wouldn't require so much of me? Because there's a not-so-small voice in my head wishing just that.
No, there is nothing wrong with wishing that. Is he at least going to school today so you get a break?
My ds1 has a fever today.
Though we have to leave the house, I have a midwife appointment. It's actually funny because he seems fine other than the fever, go figure!
