I just laughed thinking about getting new clients just because of showing them a sample binder...if they are dorks like me who love organizational supplies.

I think a lot of parents would be dorks in that way. They'd see the binder and think: here at least is one thing that I can get organized in my life. It makes it seem like you're actually delivering something, as opposed to just filing paperwork and lawyering and such.

My dishwasher just died mid-cycle, so the dishes are all soap crusted now. This was on top of a sink and counter top full of dishes, because I was working on that volunteer project and no one else did the dishes.

I don't even have a dish rack. WTF????

I'm stopping the steroids. My brain is about to explode. Really, I feel awful.

Candice, for your booth you could see if you could borrow one of those babygate/fence things. I can't think what they're called, you can fence in an area. Throw some toys in there. Because when I read your post, the first thing I thought was, a cage would be good. Yes, my kid was a runner...the only way I could have focused on anything when Sprogly was a certain age was if he was completely contained.

Really, seriously, I'd give my eyeteeth for a Valium.

It was a wrong number. I applied to it, and apparently it was someone texting their daughter, and they were one number off. Umm... disturbing.

Someone was texting their daughter obscene msgs?

Speaking of texting. You know I haven't spoken to my mom in four months. Apparently she texted DH today and wanted him to come over and fix their internet. Really? These are the people who yelled at DH a few months ago cause their power supply went out and it was proprietary and he had to order it from Dell. They just didn't get it and were going to go to best buy and get one. Yea whatever people.

It was a dirty hooker joke. Totally juvenile, beyond my usual juvenile humour. Not something anyone I know would send me.

Yes but... to their daughter????

Amanda was calling me a butt in french and I had to refrain myself from calling her my made up Latin word I put together in terminology class. Cause it's not something that is appropriate to call your daughter.

penorhytidoid One of the "law" students went and asked the medical teacher what it meant... she just looked at me and shook her head.

And now I have to complain about DH.

When I was in high school I had a friend. He claimed mind over matter type stuff. I swear one day we were laying on my bed and he started and started at the light til it turned off. DH thinks I am crazy.. says I was high.. says someone else turned off the light but they DIDN'T. no one else was there. and I was not high at that particular moment in time.

So the TV goes off for some reason and I asked what happened. DH said he turned it off. (hes in another room.) I said you did it telepathically? He said if Doug can do it why can't I. : I share a story with him and he makes fun of me for 11 freaking years.,

well. it's up my leg now. podiatrist (broadbent btw mamanurse, we are providence system) says go to the vascular doc. i have their names... somewhere.
2 possibilites:

1. something syndrome that involves cold and tingly extremeties. you do nothing, you live with it, maybe they give you nitroglycerin stuff to put on it. live with limp? um...
(yes tina, i think that is it)

2. since it's only ONE foot, it could be a vascular blockage. what would they do then? who knows.

candice: trains or cars... cause some kids do NOT color. cheap matchobox cars.

oh my other question... i hate sudafed but have allergies. what else is there?

Many of our surgeons work both health systems. If it's vascular, they might have to unblock whatever is causing it somehow. An endarterectomy is the best option for someone with fairly healthy vasculature IMO. You are young to be having a blockage, though, in my experience. I've never had a patient younger than 50 for sure who wasn't a poorly controlled diabetic. There are two awesome vascular surgeons that I recommend....

Marcos Barnatan and Matthew Foley. They both have privileges and operate at PHS, but only some plans cover them. I really like their bedside manners (for surgeons) and I would go with one of them if I needed vascular surgery.

I didn't realize it was only in one extremity. I thought you said it was in all your joints... If that's the case, then I think Raynaud's syndrome is more likely. Hopefully you can get an appointment tomorrow.

I'm no expert, but now that I read more it's nothing like what my friend had in HS. It sounds more like Raynaud's, in my limited knowledge. I hope you get answers quickly.

candace - i haven't read the last few pages yet, so maybe somebody already recommended this - but i have found that at big fairs like that - people are really cruising by and, especially with kids in tow, it really helps to have something to "suck" them in!

i was once told that you HAD to have candy at such a booth. and to be honest - i have found that really helpful! but at least SOME kind of "giveaway" - perhaps attached to your cards, or brochures....

also, a game of some sort really helps - perhaps a "test your estate planning knowledge" questionaire that people fill out, and then use as a raffle ticket for a prize? it can include their contact info so you can put them on a mailing list when you get home...

the prize could be a free or discounted "piece" of the estate plan - or something totally unrelated....

or a "guess what the three top mistakes are in estate planning" challenge...

you get the idea! but yeah - candy. always candy. or chocolate.
