I did a search on the forum for lactation consultant but couldn't find anything.

Does anyone know of any lactation consultants who do home visits in the Seattle area? I haven't delivered yet, but it would be nice to have some names/numbers on hand in case I need them.

Thanks!

I don't personally know of any, but you may want to try asking your doctor or midwife if they have any names. You can also look for your local La Leche League and see if they know of any or have any names. La Lache should be in the phone book, or you can google them.

Good luck, and congratulations!!

If you are looking for an IBCLC, I would recommend the group from Birth and Beyond.

http://www.birthandbeyond.com/breastfeedinghelp.html

they offer free phone support!

You may contact me off list, if you are interested in some support that doesn't require an IBCLC.

Happy birthing!

Thanks, Sharon!

Would you mind sending me a PM with your contact info, just so I have it on hand, just in case?

Many LLL leaders in the area will do a home visit if you ask or are having issues. They would also be able to give you the name of an IBCLC if your issues are outside their scope.

My ND is IBCLC. Not sure if she does home visits, but you could call and ask. She is great! http://www.motherchildmedicine.com/

This is Katie Allen, and she is also a midwife, though not practicing now!

She is wonderful, but way out in Carnation!

If she does home visits, all the better!
