Looking into going in for some pelvic floor physical therapy for some issues I've been having. My ND game me some numbers to call and my chiro has a rec. But, I'm wondering if anyone has gone or know someone who has gone who can recommend someone who was good and worked for them?

Long shot, I know.

Happily married to my dh, mama to ds1 (01/2005), ds2 (07/2007)  and dd (07/2009).

Dahlia,

Contact Joan Quinonez on the ICAN list. She does this work, but she is on maternity leave right now. Maybe someone else in her office does, or she can point you in the right direction

I know you said seattle preferred - but there is an excellent PT here in Spokane who specializes in pelvic floor problems. Her name is Valerie Wang and she is at St Lukes. I refer patients to her and get great feedback. I know at least one woman who was coming all the way in from Moses Lake to see her.

Unfortunately, traveling to Spokane (4 hour drive I think) is not an option!

I saw Carrie Sieber in Bellevue for an eval a couple days ago and really liked her. She seems really experienced and knowledgeable and she has seen women and helped them with the same issues I have. Hopefully it'll help!

I saw Beatrice Hanzeli (she goes by Bea) at Swedish in Seattle. I had about four visits with her, and I thought she was great. Her office was on First Hill. I think there are pelvic floor therapists at the Cherry Hill location, and in Ballard. But my only experience was with Bea, who I definitely recommend. Good luck!

Well I'm not sure if any of them specialize with pelvic floor, but Marran physical therapy has two clinics in Redmond and they are just really great people, professional, personal and otherwise. I actually used to work there YEARS ago, before having kids, and they have the best therapists. I noticed on their website that a couple of the people who were assistants went on to finish their Phd and are now therapists. They have a website, marranphysicaltherapy.com. They have been in business practicing so long they would recommend someone if you called them. I'm guessing someone there would be great for you though.

It sounds like you already have an ND, but Ron Mariotti, ND is the local expert in visceral manipulation. I am an ND student at Bastyr, and am learning from him. He sees LOTS of women with urinary/pelvic floor issues and seems quite confident in his ability to help. His office is by U-Village. I bet your ND knows him.

If you really did want to see a woman, Cortney Cusack, ND is also very good. She works around NW 70th and 15th Ave NW.

I hope thats helpful!
