Here it is, your "what is there to do this summer with the family but not breaking the bank" thread.

I'll add as much as I find. You add as you like, too.. I can't think of everything.

School's out June 14th for my kids. joy.gif

Lake Oswego concerts.

These vary by time and place. Check your calender closely before heading out but these are always first rate concerts.

These can be a bit crowded. Be sure to show up before dark to allow time for getting situated with the young ones.

Let's Go Camping

This is quite cheap just 20$ for the whole family and they teach you how to camp. Rangers teach you how to do everything and they have family activities for all of you. I did this with my kids 5 years ago when I first moved to the Northwest. It was a great way to warm up to camping.

Free Shakespeare plays in the park.

If your kid can't sit for a whole play yet.. maybe you should skip this one for a bit. Or sit near the edge so you can "escape" if they get fussy.

Ten Toe Walks

These are gentle enough for families. I've personally have been on a few and they are reasonably paced and have great guides.

Disc golf

These are heavy frisbees thrown into a basket at the end of the court. Like Putt-putt or golf.. the lower the number of tries, the better you are. A lot of folks here play this game and they might lend you some discs to get started on. They are heavier and slighted differently shaped than regular frisbees.
These courses are mostly at parks so you can take everyone and a picnic.

Beaches..

http://sauvieisland.org/visitor-information/natural-attractions/public-beaches/

Needs a parking pass but a lovely way to wile away a warm day. The water is cold most of the time but you can fly a kite and build a sandcastle.
Beware, Collins beach is clothing optional.
And wait a couple of more weeks for sure.. as of writing this May 25th, the water is high.
