Hi, I'm Pam. I had a question, if anyone can answer it.. My partner and I are trying to conceive. I have been charting my temp for about 11 months. We are finally at the stage to try to conceive. We did insemination at home when the ovulation test showed I was about to ovulate. My temperature went up after we did it and stayed up for a few days, then one morning I took it at a different time (about 4 days after we inseminated) and it droped from 97.60 to 97.18. The next morning it went back to 97.45. I will keep checking it. Does anyone know what this means. I think it is too early to do preg test. This is our first insemination. but usually after I ovulate my temp goes back down like couple days and it stayed up for like 4 days then went down one day and now it is up .30 degrees again. Does anyone know?

If you took your temp at a different time the reading is invalid unless you adjust it.  (I can't remember the rules for adjusting.)  I don't see why your temps in the leutual phase would differ post-ovulation regardless of how insemination happened.

However, you really should go down and ask in the Fertility > Trying to Conceive forum.  That's where the experts will be hanging out.
