Hi, we've just moved to Hillsboro and last Friday my DD had her 9-month checkup with a pedi that was recommended to us... long story short, we will go back to that doctor only over my dead body.  Among many other things, she gave us an unsolicited harangue about how we need to let our DD cry it out (she sleeps fine when she doesn't have tummy upset, thanks, and nobody thinks you should let a sick kid cry it out, do they??) and then followed it up with fliers on cry-it-outing and feeding rice cereal and fruit juice.  Oh my.  I know I can and will ignore the advice...but the cry-it-out stuff really makes me see red, and I don't want to deal with it.

We are firm believers in vaccination so we don't need anything especially hard-to-find in a pediatrician...just a doctor who will actually listen to us and who isn't stuck 70 years in the past.  Anybody love their pedi and want to share?  Pretty please?

We went to Hillsboro Pediatrics and saw Nanette Dahlquist, she was great.  Vax or no vax friendly, a LC and a believer in natural parenting.  I really enjoyed her.  The only downfall is I found it wasn't the cleanest facility.  Sick kids were mixed in with not sick kids and it just always had a dirty feel to it.  So we stopped going.  If Nanette was else where I'd go back to her in a second, but I just couldn't get past the dirty feel of it.  But that being said, I have friends who go and don't seem to have a problem with it.

Thank you!  I'll keep her in mind.  I've walked past the Hillsboro Pediatrics place and thought how convenient it is (30 min walk from our apartment :) ) but my DH crinkled up his nose and complained that it looked dirty even outside.  But at the moment I would accept that over going back to the awful doctor in Bethany!
