I'm mama to a 9 month old, 9 yo, 12 yo & 14 yo (all boys). I'm here, hoping to branch out a bit.
All of my friends have only older kids and I'm feeling like it would be nice to have some more mamas with babies in my life. My older kids were born in Chicago; this is our first time with a babe out here in Portland (living in NE) and loving it....the baby wearing, nursing, homebirth etc. all are so much more status quo here - so refreshing.
Would love to meet any mamas and babies around my youngest's age. I'm able to meet out with just him, since our oldest is now of babysitting age and the oldest 3 do well at home together smile.gif
Anyone interested in a cafe meet-up for a coffee/tea?

Oh funny! We just moved here from Illinois! (McHenry). My son is 2. My sister has a 3 year old and a baby due in the spring. We are looking for more friends out here too.

- Mom to Baby Mark (9/18/10) and 4 wonderful dogs!

Hi! I know this post is a couple months old, but I wanted to see if you were still looking for folks to connect with? I have lived in Portland almost 4 years, I have a 13 month son, and my husband, son and I live in North Portland. I know a few baby/kid friendly coffee shops in the area, as well as some neat Parks and Rec drop in baby gym type stuff that is only $1! Let me know if you are interested in meeting sometime! Also check out: http://www.portlandonline.com/parks/finder/index.cfm?PropertyID=1124&action=ViewPark

This park has a lot of great stuff to do at their rec center, which is a great place to connect with other folks. There are also links to the catalog/schedule and links to other parks in Portland too. Hope that is helpful!
