We're moving to Vashon later this month, and I'm strongly considering a hospital birth now that we'll be farther away in case of transfer. Seattle/Burien/Tacoma hospitals are all options, and I've been thinking either Highline or St Joseph's.

I've been treated at Highline for complications following a miscarriage, so I know their L&D rooms and staff are fantastic- but they only have OBs with hospital privileges there, no MWs. St Joseph's does have MWs attending births. Either way I will have to change providers as my MW only delivers at home or BCs.

Anyone have experience at one of these places? Or a Tacoma MW recommendation? smile.gif

Pearl Place midwives deliver at the birthing inn or at St. Joe's. I have used there facilities for ultrasound. But I am using a different midwife. I've heard good things about them. Good luck!
